Julio César Chávez v Félix Trinidad

Discussion in 'Mythical Matchups' started by Rich ´Money´ Mustard, Oct 13, 2015.

  1. Big-money title-fight Catch-weight.

Can Tito be effective at a significant weight drop?
Can Chavez stick at 140-145, avoid the rangy-power and get inside?

    Chavez gets stopped.

  3. I was thinking same at 147 (see, Yori Boy Campas, but a tougher fight)

Yeah, basically just a longer version of the Campas fight. Chavez is just too damn small to have any success against Trinidad.

  5. Trinidad / weight-drain?

Chavez wasn't a welterweight. Tito at 147 would be too big and too strong. He'd likely stop him late.

  7. Yes. I know.
That would be relevant if welterweight was even being discussed....which it isn't

Chavez was terrible above 140 and hence never beat anybody world class. Trinidad would demolish him.

  9. Even 141lb?
