Pretty self explanatory. Who was more important in the development and progression of their charge - Roach with the work he did with Pac or Sanchez with the work he did with Golov?
GGG always had potential with his amateur pedigree. Training Pac from the wild man he was into the precise punching machine he had to be to win at higher weights is more impressive imo.
Roach with Pac because Manny hardly ever threw a right hand early on and fought predictable, relying on his speed. Golovkin had a much better ammy background and he would have became what he became regardless of who trained him IMO.
JESUS are you fucking SERIOUS????......... Pacquiao is a LEGEND....but before Roach he was an untrained BEAST....ROach made him a proper BEAST....he went on to be a LEGEND..... GGG has 34 fights...against marginal opposition...a bunch of C level fighters...he has accomplished exactly DICK!
I agree with everyone that Roach developed Manny much more. Manny was born with unbelievable raw talent, and Roach fine-tuned that talent and molded him into a special fighter. My point is that I think Sanchez is getting a bit too much credit at the moment. People are acting like he developed Golov's offense or something. GGG since being a pro has always been offensively brilliant. If Sanchez deserves credit, I think he probably made Golov more defensively responsible, but even then, it's not like Golov was ever horrible defensively like Provo.
Sanchez must be far less nervous when Golov fights than Norris. He knows when a guy lands a big shot on Golov that Golov won't fall like a sack of potatoes.
talking to sanchez you can tell he knows more about boxing than alot of these other over hyped trainers
