'The NFL has agreed a three-year deal with the Rugby Football Union to stage a minimum of three American football matches at Twickenham.

The deal will start in October 2016, with the first series of fixtures to be announced later this year.

Two extra games could also be staged at Twickenham, the home of English rugby union, over the same period.

The NFL already has an extended deal in place to stage a minimum of two games per year at Wembley until 2020.

Also in London, the NFL reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this year to play at least two games per year at the Premier League club's new stadium from 2018.

"We are committed to continuing to grow our sport in the UK and believe that adding Twickenham to our roster of host venues in London is further evidence of that commitment," said Mark Waller, NFL executive vice-president of international.

In the NFL at the QB position there are better game managers, there are more accurate passers, and there are better decision makers than Cam Newton. But there is nothing more physically impressive than Newton's arm strength.

I'm not talking about "Jamarcus Russell can throw 70 yard off his knees". I'm talking about the arm strength to throw a 40 yard bullet with a flat trajectory like a fucking laser.

That throw to Ginn while falling backwards with pressure in his face was just mind boggling. And it looked like the ball was never more than 8 feet off the ground.

I do feel for his receivers. As a receiver you're prepared for heat on the ball on 10 yard hooks or dig routes but to see that same velocity on deeper throws has to be tough to get used to.

 

He has to work on his touch passes, but you're right his arm strength is sick. His accuracy is also shaky. He tends to throw high.

 

Newton was really impressive. A couple years back I thought he sucked and would never improve, but looks like I was wrong.
