Well, I'm glad you at least admitted it. Seriously though, I'd pick Gonzalez by decision. He's quite underrated and had a long, successful lightweight reign. Took a prime DLH to hand him his first loss, and that was at 140, DLH's best weight.
Gonzalez was a better fighter, and he too is a guy that belongs in your thread of underrated pros. He was very good.
Agreed. He's underrated, and Castillo is overrated based on the first Floyd fight. How Floyd looked that night, there's nothing to suggest MAGO couldn't have also pushed him to the limit. Gonzalez had better chin than Castillo, was quicker, and had better technical skills from the outside.
It is funny how styles make fights (as my sig accurately points out). Gonzalez was very good, yet Kostya Tszyu gave him a horrendous beating. Yet. Castillo might trouble Kostya a great deal, but in here I pick Gonzalez
I'm not a Tszyu fan in the least bit, but... Tszyu would have given Castillo a horrible ass whuppin. Maybe Castillo troubles the Tszyu of 05 a great deal. Not the 99 Tszyu.
