Holm's had 38 Boxing Matches, 3 Kickboxing Matches, 8 Ammy Kickboxing Matches and Now 10 MMA Bouts...That's Nearly 60 Combative Sports Contests Holm has Engaged In...

There was a Chance the OCCASION Got the Better of Holm...The HYPE, the Level of Media Coverage, etc...But 1nce Ronda Went Out of her Way to Try to INTIMIDATE Holm, it No Doubt Made it EASY for Holly to Compartmentalize & FOCUS on the Task @ Hand...

Both ladies sounded nervous. I couldn't understand what Holly even said. I also see why some of y'all said Rousey sounded drunk. I don't know if she was nervous, or embarrassed for being put on the spot for being in the wrong, or just stammering because she was trying to come up with a reason to justify it. It also could be she was acting out of character for whatever reason and just wasn't comfortable with it.

The most impressive thing about this victory was the way Holm was able to deal with the grappling. I mean it's not like she won with strikes alone...Ronda closed the gap on a couple occasions and if Holm wasn't adept at it...she would have lost the fight there and then.

    'Preciate It...

After Watching the Fight Again, what was MOST Surprising was How STRONG Holm was in the Clinch...Holly's Upper Body Strength was FORESHADOWED @ the Weigh In & Was Definitely a Factor in the Win...

Rousey couldn't deal with the southpaw boxing stance. Holm couldn't miss with the lead left.

Holly's a Sensitive, SOFT Spoken Chick by Nature...She was Brought to Tears in ALL of the Post-Fight Interviews REED's Seen...

@ the Weigh In, She Said "I Don't Know, Just Having a Drink, You Know?"...As for Ronda, She was Stammering w/Her Words Because She Was Guarding from Cursing...She Very Nearly Said "Fake Shit", Caught Herself, then was Herky Jerky for the Remainder of the Interview...Plus, REED Thinks Ronda Really WAS Surprised @ How CALM Holm Remained, During their Exchange...

She was Clearly REACHING for Justification for her Bully Act Too...

Yep, the Few Times Ronda had a Chance, Holm OFFSET It...Easily Guarding AGAINST the Armbar in 1 Instance, Taking Ronda Down in Another...

    Thanks.

Man after reading all the talk on here I was expecting some serious boxing domination from Holly. She dominated the fight but other than landing a lot more lead lefts I didn't see her striking being THAT much more superior to Rousy's. RR landed some decent shots of her own but where Holly made RR look ameturish was with her much superior foot work and the fact RR didn't know how to cut off the octagon.

All that said, I just want to say that didn't look like RR in there tonight and I'm not sure all the credit should go to HH. If RR had to cut some higher then usual weight or come down out of her weight class then I say that was a humongous cause of her defeat because RR looked absolutely weak in there. Her punches looked ok and HH looked like she even felt a couple of them, but RR's balance was shot, she was clearly weaker then Holly which isn't normally the case for RR. She threw some knees in there that had absolutely nothing on them and she couldn't even complete a hip throw while in perfect position on a taller opponent.

I know I sound like a RR superfan but I'm not. I admit I like her but those of you who know me know I call it like I see it and don't fabricate shit and those of you saying RR was a farce who got exposed are tripping. RR was a legitimate beast and I don't know if it was weight, abdoning some of her training, losing focus with all of the exposure or what, but that woman who lost tonight wasn't the same one who dominated those other women. I'm also not saying that that Rhonda would have won tonight, but she definitely would have looked better and fucking would have been able to complete a hip throw.

Wasn't Rousey considered a better and more dominant female Athlete than Serena Williams?

Quite a few people need to revise their statements....

Or perhaps, Holm is better than those other women?

Most likely, and I'm not disputing that. All I'm saying is you can't just look at the technique of Rhonda and say she got exposed. Yes HH is more technically sound then RR but Rhonda usually has her own advantage which was her strength. Now maybe HH is just stronger than RR, but that doesn't take away the fact that the RR in there tonight looked a lot weaker than usual.

As Royness Pointed Out, Look @ Holm's Shoulders...

Though She's Mostly a FINESSE Fighter, She's a STRONG, FIT All Around Athlete...There's a Very REAL Chance She's AS Strong or STRONGER than Ronda, Which Certainly Seemed to Be the Case Yesterday...Holm's Won Boxing Titles @ '40, '47 and '54....She's QUITE Accustomed to Competing Against Big, STRONG Women...

Sorry but fighting for the regional kindergarden Kickboxing title will not make you tough enough for the media frenzy this UFC Rousey thing brings to the table. There have been numerous examples of good fighters with lots of experience folding under the pressure of a simple ABC belt being on the line or tennis players in a grand slam final. Holms record means exactly jackshit. She was the 1-100 favorite in most of her boxing matches and was the extreme underdog against Rousey this time. She could not have been prepared just by fighting bum bitches in albuquerque saloons.

However she was being able to concentrate on her fighting skills and focus on them knowing she has a lot of fighting experience and success going with it. She was able to separate this from the extreme media pressure of this whole thing. I didn't think she would be able to but she was, so props to her.

Maybe Rousey was intimidated by Holm's broad shoulders

This just goes to show that the UFC is a huge hype machine. I didn't see the fight, but I bet you during her ring walk they were claiming that she was one of the best MMA fighters of all time and that her striking has come along way and she is now one of the best strikers as well, blah blah blah .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the same chick that would have apparently beaten up Floyd Mayweather according to Dana White?

Did You Not REED REED's Typewritten Words???...

"There was a Chance the OCCASION Got the Better of Holm...The HYPE, the Level of Media Coverage, etc...But 1nce Ronda Went Out of her Way to Try to INTIMIDATE Holm, it No Doubt Made it EASY for Holly to Compartmentalize & FOCUS on the Task @ Hand"...

You're PARROTING What REED's Already Stated...

@ NO Point was Holm EVER Going to Be Intimidated by Ronda Rousey the PERSON, the FIGHTER...The EVENT Associated w/Facing Ronda Rousey was the Risk, but 1nce Ronda Tried to BULLY Holm, it Made it EASY for Holly to Focus SOLELY on Her Opponent, as Opposed to the Occasion...

To Say 59 Bouts of Combative Sports Experience Meant "Jack Shit" is SHORT SIGHTED as Hell...

Rousey needs to reconnect with Kevin Rooney and get back to using head movement.

    Ok just saw the fight.

Rousey was chasing her around like a toughman contestant. She was exposed as a very limited fighter tonight. This happens time and time again when a limited fighter is hyped up to shit then said weakness is brutally exposed. Reminds me so much of the Brock Lesnar scenario.

That's what I said earlier in here. I think that was what broke Rousey's spirit.

World class boxer trains against mma type takedowns..for 2-3 years..he might accomplish something in MMA....train him at kickboxing, brazlian ju-jitsu for the same time...he might be WORLD class MMA fighter...

Turn a WORLD CLASS MMA fighter...ALL TIME MMA GREAT like...let say Anderson SILVA...and have him train nothing but boxing for 5-6 years...he won't beat a legit TOP 10 fighter in his division......wait didn't Anderson Silva box before he became MMA legend? Nevermind...

    WOW...

Dana Talks a LOT of Shit, but he Usually Stays within the Realm of POSSIBILITY...@ No Point was Rousey EVER a Threat to Floyd...The Very 1st JAB Floyd Landed Would Be THE Hardest Shot Ronda's EVER Been Hit w/, & Would Likely Knock her Down/OUT!!!...

Dana DESERVED to Have THE Biggest Name in his Sport Get the Shit Beaten Out of her by a NON-Power Punching BOXER, for Having Uttered this Nonsense...

What I say was Ronda trying everything...she tried boxing, judo slamming Holly to the ground to bend that arm like a pretzel, etc...just did work THIS time around.....Ronda did just try to box with Holly..
