For years and years, former SecondsOut Mod and Hamed-Fanboy Simes, argued vehemently for him and claimed he was 'too small to go up from 126lb', but we all know the real reason(s).
    This fights takes place at a mere 4lb higher at 130lb - Super-Featherweight / Junior-Lightweight.

I'd take Frietas by KO. He was a big puncher at 130, and yes, too big for Hamed in general.

I think the problem is, when he left Ingle, he lost whatever skills he had to 'box'. IMO, he developed that mentality of 'I-Can-Blow-Anyone-Away-With-One-Shot'...
But yeah, I thought he might have a puncher's chance at 130lb...

But Freitas' power at 130lb was freakish...

Frietas was a huge junior lightweight as well, in addition to being a powerful one. Whilst Hamed was a small feather, and only effective at feather because of how devastating his power was.

I don't think at 130 he'd be able to take out Frietas though. Bear in mind, it took a beating from a HUGE puncher in Corrales to make Frietas quit. Hamed wouldn't be around long enough to make Frietas quit,

We're talking about a guy who was getting his head bounced around by Augie Sanchez. Frietas woulda killed him.

You mean 'small' as in frame, height or both?
Freitas was only 21/2" taller than Hamed.

Frietas was too big for Hamed. If they were the same size, however, hamed would have sent him to the morgue.

    How? :scratcher:

Corrales made him quit on his stool, but like XPl said, after a beating....and Corrales was on an equal level of hitting-power with Freitas.

Hamed struggled more to KO his opponents when 'names' started appearing...

    Hamed was no junior lightweight.

Size of Freitas is too much.

No the problem was Hamed was just always overrated as fuck. Yeah when he was in England fighting those tomato cans his superior reflexes made him look great, but when he came to the US it was like a great college level basketball player going to the pros and all of his awesome reflexes and defensive movements didn't work quite as well. So when he fought contenders he was exposed as just a pretty good champion level fighter and not the all time great he was being touted as before even setting foot on American soil. It's the same reason he almost lost his American debut against Kelly and his power turned out to be the only thing above average about him as it often bailed him out of a lot of trouble and losable fights.
