Joe Rogan is the king of hyperbole, but if this card comes off without any injuries, it's probably the most stacked card in MMA history as Rogan claimed.

When you have Romero-Jacare three fights deep on the card, that's a seriously loaded event. Not to mention, Damian Maia vs Gunner Nelson matches two of the very best BJJ fighters in the UFC against each other and they are four deep on the card.

When you think about Uriah Faber fighting on the under card, it seems like it might be a slight toward Faber's declining career. But it's not. He's just bolstering the hell out of the prelims leading into a great main card.

I'll root for Aldo and Rockhold. Rockhold will lose, but I think Aldo will get a close decision over McGregor.

Aldo is not afraid. He's more amused than anything. This is akin to Cotto - Mayorga in terms of personalities.

Weidman / Rockhold is such a great matchup. It's hard to believe this is the CO-main event. Along with Jacare / Romero, this card feels as stacked as UFC 189 with McGregor / Mendes and Lawler / MacDonald.

I'm rooting for Weidman and McGregor in the main events. Aldo is one of the all time greats, but I'm hoping Colin's style will be a bad matchup for him. Aldo has done way more to prove himself as a top fighter. I just want to believe in Conor. It would be fun to see him as the new champion.

Weidman has to be considered one of the all time greats already based on his level of competition. 13-0. No one has come close to beating him, including legends of the sport like Anderson Silva, Vitor Belfort, and Lyoto Machida. I doubted him when he first beat Anderson, but I might have been wrong about that.

Jacare is the best BJJ specialist in MMA, or at least in the top 2. It's hard to argue against Werdum as the heavyweight champ. Romero is an experienced fighter with the kind of power that can beat anyone if he connects. This is a risky fight for Jacare. A decisive win by either guy would make a huge statement in the middleweight division. The winner will probably get the next title shot against the winner of the Weidman / Rockhold fight.

I'll take a world class wrestler over a world class bjj artist any day of the week. Romero should take this. And make it look easy. Only chance jacare has is to get the knock out

Great card, a throwback to what the UFC used to be and what made it great.

I was thinking Romero's only chance was to win by knockout. No one has outgrappled Jacare in MMA. I don't see anyone doing it except maybe Weidman.

Romero is a better wrestler than weidman. If jacare wins, it's by knock out

As much as I like Mac and he's awesome for UFC, (and the locals down here rag me for it), Aldo looks just a little bit too good here.

He arguably lost to Edgar and had a Really close to fight with Mendes. He also, doesnt finish people really anymore. He has gone to decision 5 out of his 7 fights in the UFC. His stamina aint great either.

Romero is the more accomplished wrestler but Weidman's grappling has been used far more effectively in MMA than Romero.

That being said, I don't see Jacare taking Romero down very easily. But I think Jacare has the better boxing and will knock Romero out.

Weidman has faced better competition to showcase his wrestling.

I believe we've already seen Romero taken down. And then he got right back up as I remember.

What is the card for New Year's? The last two New Year's and UFC 100 probably compare favorably to this card, yes?

Lawler / Condit is the main event for New Years, along with Miocic / Arlovski. Lawler / Condit is the one fight I'm most looking forward to. UFC 194 seems a little more stacked in terms of the number of great matchups.

romero has more accomplishments as a wrestler than weidman, but that doesn't make him a better mma wrestler. plus, weidman not only has very good takedowns, but also has a better overall ground game than romero. romero, if anything has good power in both hands and like hector lombard, over-relies on that. lombard looked at his best when he mixed up his striking and judo against shields, but for a while he was relying on his knockout power because he was running over guys in smaller organizations. akiyama did the same thing last week and lost. not sure why he elected to stand and strike against a guy who he probably could've easily tripped or taken down.

i think souza might have more fluid striking than romero, but romero can probably put his lights out w/ one punch or did what he did vs machida. a pick'em fight, but i'd lean towards romero if souza can't secure a takedown.

I think it will be a striking war at first. Romero won't want to go to the ground with a guy like Jacare unless he's losing the striking battle. Jacare probably won't be able to take Romero down unless he hurts him on his feet. I'm going with Jacare, but it's pretty much an even matchup.

It's crazy that this is the 3rd to last fight, and the co main events are even better. This could be one of the best UFC events in history.

It would win my vote as the most stacked UFC card in history if it goes off as planned. The bout that is 4 deep on the card, Maia versus Nelson could easily be a UFC Fight Night main event. That is a tremendous match up.

Not to mention the card opens with Max Holloway against Jeremy Stephens. Both guys are top 10 featherweights and Stephens doesn't know how to be in a boring fight.

It's amazing that UFC 194 is a loaded card yet the night before is the TUF Finale featuring Mendes vs Edgar and Edson Barboza vs Tony Ferguson. And then a week later, you've got the lightweight title with Dos Anjos vs Cerrone and Dos Santos vs Overeem on a FOX card.

Undoubtedly the best 9 days of match ups in MMA history. Great way to end the year.

The UFC has had some great cards already this year. 189 has to be the best so far with McGregor / Mendes and Lawler / MacDonald. I missed some of the prelims, but all 6 fights I saw were brutal and fun. Two flying knee knockouts in the same night.

194 has the potential to be even better. This year overall has been much better than last year for the UFC. We still have Lawler / Condit to look forward to next month.

The dude is actually talented. I'm not completely drinking the green kool-aid but he's walked thru some decent fighters.

I will probably bet on Aldo as the underdog champion but if it was an even money fight, I'd pick the Leprechaun.
