Marvel's Jessica Jones Just finished watching the first episode of this Netflix adaptation of the Marvel comicbook 'Alias Private Investigations' and here is my verdict: they did it again. Awesome show! If you liked 'Daredevil' you'll enjoy this one even more. Just like in the comicbook the emphasis is on characters & plot within a very realistic scenario (yes, there are a couple of superpowers scenes here and there, but that is not the main thing like it is in 'The Avengers'). In fact, if someone that knows nothing about Jessica Jones watches this show will end up scratching his/her head when at certain point she jumps like three stories high to a building back ladder without any explanation. I have to admit I was a little worried about Kristin Ritter playing this character, but oh boy, did she totally nailed the role! I am not going to give away the plot or anything. You'll have to experience it by yourself, but this I have to say: they are following the comicbook plot more faithfully than I expected and that is a very good thing! Now, excuse me: I need to continue watching the next episodes.
Pacnhy just confirms what I knew all along when I posted the first trailer of this a few months back. Well done, panchy! :bears:
I knew that there was a trailer posted somewhere, but I couldn't find it in the 'Search' engine. Was it posted in the DC & Marvel News thread?
Wait, was that a thinly veiled pat on your own back for being the first person to post a thread about this obscure little tv show? Or was it a thinly veiled stab at Panchy for not posting his comment in the first little obscure thread about this show that you created?
The great thing about this show is that they talk about Jessica's 'gifts', but they don't show too much of it. Killgrave is creepy and fascinating.
I just saw the first episode. It's okay. I just finished Narcos so my expectations are super high. Im sure this show will only get better.
Mike Colter doing a good job so far LOL @ the idea of Terry Crews getting the role. He can't pull dramatic performances, he's been typecasted as a beefed up clown.
Finished watching the first season. Has a satisfying season finale and a nice tie-in for a future crossover with 'Daredevil'. Looking forward for that proposed future Defenders team-up.
