What's the story with that? And even if he looked suspect before, he's only 20. No need to rush him yet. He definitely has talent however. Even against a no-hoper it's clear he has potential.
Spence got caught with some uppercuts but he took out a guy who hadn't been stopped before. Beristain doesn't work with talentless bums, the guy could fight a bit
I think you have Thurman confused with Julian Jackson. The guy hit Guerrero and Collazo with everything and they were standing in the end. Besides, the right isn't even Thurman's money punch - his hook is. What I think you need to be FAAARRR more alarmed about is the fact that Collazo seriously hurt Thurman to the body.
I'm being very serious when I say I don't think Broner would last any longer than Barrera did tonight. In addition to Spence being far more talented than AB, he's simply too big and strong for him as well.
These guys are so shitty I think Ray could step into the ring in his suit right now and whup both of them.
Spence took some shots but his chin appears to be solid. And he seems like the type of guy who would raise his game for the big name guys. He'd destroy Thurman.
He clearly didn't respect Barrera's power, and therefore had no fear of taking a few. He's obviously not gonna be that careless of Thurman's power. He's just a much better technician than Thurman, he's got a clear edge in height and reach which is a problem for Thurman, and he's physically stronger than Thurman.
Reminds me of Curry the way he's open to be hit while stands and plans his way to the inside. I could see him falling apart like Curry if those punches hurt him and he doesn't have a safe zone to stalk from. Also, when my girlfriend heard him talking before the fight she immediately said "oh, he's gay."
Spence is now ranked in the top 10 in the IBF. Not sure if Hear would want to make the Brook fight and we all know the likes of Garcia, Thurman, Porter, and Khan will not fight him.
