Horrible heavyweight championship fight. Wladamir's style has been to stay at a range that only he could punch at and when his opponent got close enough to fight he'd just grab the guy. (I don't know how referees find that style acceptable.) He did this because he knew/knows he has zero durability - he's the opposite of his brother. Today he fights a guy that can punch at the distance he's usually the only one that can fight from, so now not only did he not want to fight in closer where a fight can get ugly and he knows he can't last, he didn't want to fight from distance, either - so he just didn't fight. He tried to fight at the very end out of desperation, but it was kinda pathetic and if he'd have been in a fight like that earlier he'd have been knocked out. He knows he didn't have much more than 3 minutes of that style of fighting in him, which is why he didn't get started with it earlier. He's not shot and he's not too old - hell he hasn't been in a real fight but maybe two or three times in his whole career. There just wasn't anywhere he could fight from where he knew he was the only one that could be offensive, so he just never fought.

Because Price kicked the shit out of him in the amateurs. As bad as Price looked in his three losses I wouldn't completely rule out him beating Fury. I'm no Wlad fan. I picked Wlad but thought Fury clearly won. I thought Fury had no chance and that he sucked. He won convincingly and yet my opinion of his skills dropped even more.
