Damn. Great heart from Granados. He took some shots and gave them right back. He pretty much OUTLASTED Imam.
The former. Almost had Grandos out in the first. It looked like it was gonna be a quick night. Then in the 3rd Grandos took over.
Damn, I assumed it was the undercard to that fight I don't care about. Imam has looked hittable and tall thin guys can worn down obviously.
Wouldn't be that huge. Degale is nothing special. Be funny to him get his taken off with an uppercut.
Negative. NEVER did that. I did incorrectly say I thought he was #2 at 140 behind Crawford, but I think Spence was very apparently the superior talent, even before what just happened. Spence has superstar talent. I know you don't see it yet, but I think he has it.
Speaking of Broner, I think Grandos off of tonight deserves a crack at Broner's belt. Nobody wants to see Broner fight that bum Ashley.
Yeah, you're right. I shouldn't have said huge upset for DeGale-Bute. Imam-Grandos would have easily won for upset of the year if not for Fury embarrassing Wald.
I despise saying this, but AB would lay a whuppin on Imam based on tonight. Imam is only 25 though. Take him back to the drawing board, build his confidence back up against a few bums, then try him again. He still has contender potential, but sadly I think Grandos showed tonight that he's never gonna be an elite.
How so? I didn't say it was over for Imam. I didn't call him a bum. But I can't pretend now like Grandos didn't expose flaws tonight. Ehhh maybe he him took him lightly. He hit the wall in the third. Can I pretend now like Imam could beat Crawford? Hell no! He'd still prob fare well against Postol though. Postol will give him time to think and operate. BUT, Imam got hit too clean tonight and Postol does have pop in that right hand.
Well in your defense, you said he should be ranked behind Crawford and the fight today proved that. ;)
Spence has not fought anyone so it is premature to say, but given what I have seen Spence looks like the best of the bunch. I would pick him to beat thurman, Garcia, crawford ....but again he has not fought anyone so it is pure speculation
Crawford would destroy the The Young Master. Imam can still win a belt one day. I mean, it's not that hard nowadays to win one. But he's gonna need a few confidence boosting wins first and a major defensive tweak.
I dunno anymore. Tonight he made Broner look like Benitez by defensive comparison. Broner has the handspeed to nail him consistently. I say him give Imam a few tune-ups, then build his confidence back up against a scrub - like Omar Figueroa.
To be fair to Spence, this guy he destroyed today was not a bum. Barrera was definitely better than the shot, outta shape version of Rios that Bradley just beat, and everybody's on Bradley's dick right now.
But imam is 5'10" ... he would outbox broner from the outside and would not have to go to war like he did tonight
