Say if Durant actually did go to the Lakers, would Kobe troll us and come back for the vet minimum for one last shot at the title assuming they also get some other big name star
the fakers will need to win the lotto to lure durant or a big name guy. simmons would be someone big time scorers want to play with
Tracy was gonna blossom into a star with or without Hill's injury. So yeah, Hill might have been the team LEADER, but Grant woulda been happy to differ to McGrady as the first option scorer and go-to-guy in the clutch. McGrady just peaked a lot higher than Hill. Circa 03 McGrady was every bit as good as Kobe, if not a little better, and that was prime Kobe who was putting up 30 PPG. Hill never quite reached the level of a prime Kobe. Probably never would have IMO. Hill was almost TOOOO unselfish for his own good. He didn't have the rip your heart out mentality that Jordan, Bird, Kobe, Dirk, and Wade had.
Byron Scott is and always was a HORRIBLE coach. He's Vinny Del Negro bad. If he didn't have such a special relationship with the Lakers franchise, he'd have been gone.
Byron is there to tank. The Lakers are betting on getting that 1st pick/Ben Simmons, which explains his reluctance to stop playing Kobe-Ball.
Through 20 games, Steph Curry is having the best season of any PG in history. If he sustains this, we're truly looking at a historical SPECIAL season. The guy is un-fucking-believable.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that the Warriors streak ends on Saturday against the Raptors. Just a gut feeling. IF they beat the Raps then it prob ends next week against the Pacers. IF they get past both, you're talking about a realistic chance at 25-0. But I have a feeling that one of those two teams is gonna beat them. EITHER WAY, they've already set a record that might not be broken in our life times. I don't see another team touching a 20-0 start for a LOOOONNGGGG time, if ever.
Even if they don't come close to that 72-10 set by the 96 Bulls, they've already made history and have to be the favorite for the title at this moment... We'll see what happens as the wear and tear of the season plays a role, and then playoffs is just different. Nevertheless, they are absolutely impressive. I think they'll lose soon too because you just can't keep that up. But their record is insane.
REED is probably thinking both compared to what they were before. Jordan's numbers were better in Washington but he was also consistently better on average than Bryant, also. So he as well was a shadow of himself. That he was still able to put up those numbers is just showing that he was indeed the best ever.
I've never been much of a Kobe fan, but I hope he can knock off some of the rust and finish off the season respectably. If he keeps on shooting like he is, he should retire during the season and force Byron Scott and the Lakers to tank without him. I'll wager the league has already set up the Lakers with Ben Simmons in the next draft.
That's because Mike knew how to play within himself FAR better than Kobe. Jordan knew damn well he wasn't his 1990s self when he was with the Wizards. He stayed within what he knew his limits were, and played to his strengths. Kobe is JUST started to realize he's finished, but some nights he STILL thinks he's the Kobe of 2006.
Paul George should play with the Suns, so we can name him "The Phoenix". <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/5ES_CLH_ILI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Not Soooooooo Sure about that, Bruh... Grant Hill was BATMAN in Detroit...McGrady was ROBIN in Toronto...Again, McGrady Became Batman Out of NECESSITY, when Hill's Ankle NEVER Fully Healed...Hill was just Coming Off a Season Where he Averaged 26 PER Game & the League was Looking @ him as THE Next Guy in the Post-Jordan Era...McGrady was Coming Off a Season where he Just Averaged 15.4... Sure, in HINDSIGHT, we Can Say McGrady Would've Always Carried the Scoring, but there's NO Guarantee he'd have Done That, Considering the Roles they Played on the Teams they had Just Left... REED:mj:
PHENOMENAL Talent... His #'s are COMICALLY Absurd...20pts, 15 boards, 6 dimes, 2.4 steals, 1.6 blocks, 54% FG, 75% FT...That's VIDEO GAME Type of Shit... Definitely has a Bit of 'Bron in Him, w/the FREAKISH Athleticism for his Size, the Build, the Ballhandling and Playmaking Ability... REED:clapagain:
1) I know his stats will normalize eventually but Kawhi is Top 3 in 3pt % this season. 2) Vintage Wade last night vs OKC. :clapagain:

Curry's efficiency is off the charts for such a high ppg. Harden should do something about those turnovers.
GS looking unstoppable. They say that you can't shoot like that every night but it seems that the Warriors do indeed shoot like that every night. How long can they keep it up?
San Antonio is playing good basketball too but are overshadowed by the Warriors. Nevertheless, Spurs are consistent. Their depth will allow them to get to at least the Western Conference finals. But they'll have a hell of a time getting to the finals if this Warriors team continues to play like it is. Leonard is the man of this team, though. Aldridge is getting better and better within their system, and Parker has thus far managed to stay healthy but we shall see how long he can remain that way. The bench as usual has delivered for Pop.
I don't know but the Warriors seems to have very few chinks in their amor. They have playoffs/finals/championship experience, they have youth and athleticism across the board, they shoot lights out, they defend, they score in the paint.
