Nice one, Slice. Whyte really is full of it. I can't wait for Joshua to KHTO! In saying that, I've got a horrible feeling this will be a chess match. Both guys are talking a big game (well, Whyte more so). There's ALOT at stake, especially for Joshua. Losing is not an option, especially as it's such a bitter, deep-seated rivalry.

a lot better than Cotto-Canelo face-off. Whyte knows his role. He ain't full of it. He was quite modest in the interview after one of his fights I saw of him. Of course they trying to build up AJ as the good guy and can't have two of them.

It's good White is confident that he can beat him. That separates him from AJs last 14 opponents.

ok, so maybe me saying he's full of it is harsh on the guy because after all he's confident he'll get the job done. I do like what he brings to the table. He's not intimidated by Joshua one bit. You can't beat a grudge match and this certainly is one and worthy of PPV too.

Im also looking forward to Eubank Jr-O'Sullivan on the undercard. That's another fight where both guys do not like each other. Also has the makings to be a barnstormer.

Whyte fancies the job, no doubt. He has the confidence of someone who knows he can beat the man in front of him. This ight will tell us more about Joshua than any of his previous 'fights', even if Whyte isn't very good.

So if Joshua blows Whyte away in a round, what will you be thinking? That Whyte was just not very good to begin with and the time is now to step Joshua up?

People Can't Figure Out if Joshua's the Next Lennox Lewis or Audley Harrison, but Saturday will Give Boxing its 1st LEGITIMATE Glimpse of Which Way his Career Will ARC...

Yup. Saturday should give us a good indication.

He needs to risk it all now. He's in the prime of life.

Nothing against you, Reed, but I just can't stand it when people compare Joshua to Harrison (apart from the obvious). I don't think you can, nor do I believe they'll ever be compared once Joshua's career is over. It's a big statement already, I know, but I just think Joshua is a different animal to Harrison, mentally and physically.

So if Joshua powers his way past Whyte, people will be like ''but he was expected to'', then we're back to where we are now which is ''but he's beaten nobody yet.''

Joshua win this easy, 2-3 rounds

I do not see anyone in the division challenging him.

Ever since the olmpics he has just grown as a fighter I think will be rated p4p top 5 in the next 2 years

We all know that counts for nothing. That was basically like a street fight. Gives Whyte some confidence, but that's about it.

I am expecting an improved, more focused Whyte, but it won't be enough.

Whyte is rubbish. A domestic level battler. BUT he is the best opponent Joshua has faced in his pro career to date and a decent step up. I'd be impressed if he blows him away in short order.

I'm pretty sure he's better than Harrison. My legit concern is that he is the next David Price. Price looked fantastic blowing away bums but once he hit someone who didn't fall over, he got iced, over and over. It's all well and good saying 'ammy fights mean nothing' but those of us who watched Price as an ammy knew his weakness and saw it coming. Joshua was a good ammy but he got a lot of gifts. What might they tell us?

Was he Out Hustled in these "Gifts"???...Was he Given CREDIT for Punches he Shouldn't have Been???...Was he Being Bounced Off the Canvas???...

What was the NATURE of those Gifts, Mr. Feebles???...

I thought Joshua got a gift against the Cuban bloke but he definitely won the final

Prior to the London 2012 games, Joshua was one of the 'poster boys' of 'Team GB'. But in two of his 2012 medal winning fights, he got gifts. In the first (a first rounder I think?) he was simply outboxed. His Cuban opponent outfought him, landed better shots and made him luck clumsy. Joshua got a hometown decision - everyone commenting on the fight on Fightbeat at the time agreed that shots were scored for him that shouldn't have been and shots the Cuban landed weren't. It wasn't a disgrace - the fight was a decent affair - but it was clear he lost. He got a 1 point win. In the final he fought Camearelle - a very good Italian ammy. Again the fight was reasonably close but it was to me at least obvious that he lost. He was outjabbed and outlanded throughout. He got a 'countback' decision - would never have gotten it anywhere bar London 2012.

Nah, Camarelle won that fight. The Cuban fella won clear as day, though.

I think Kevin Johnson was clearly better. Also, Johnson went full rounds wit Vitaly, Fury, Chisora and everybody else, Joshua blew him away in two.

Even though beating an average guy impressively doesn't equal to beating good opponents, it isn't like Joshua had fought total cans. His opposition has been good for an up-and-comer

Also, I think his amateur fights don't count anymore, one way or another. Yes, he wasn't that impressive as an amateur. Lennox Lewis was, and he looked very inept early in his pro career. Different worlds

Joshua's resume looks decent. Johnson had lost five of his last six before he ought Joshua and is 36. Ergo, he's finished. Sprott was a handful back in the day too but he was 39 when he fought Joshua. Ergo, he was shot. Skelton was better than Whyte is but he was 47(!) when he fought Joshua. Ergo, he was shot.

Ammy careers can mean nothing but they can mean something. Amir Khan's ammy career showed he couldn't hold a shot and guess what? He couldn't as a pro. David Price's ammy career was meaningless when he was amassing a winning professional record and calling out Tyson Fury and guess what? He couldn't take a punch as it seemed he couldn't when Camarelle poleaxed him.

    It's never clear cut.

Nope. If Camarelle is the other robbery you're talking about, you're wrong. Joshua won it. I agree about the Cuban though.

I can't really tell but it looks like Greenwich, which would make sense as they're fighting at the O2.
