Vitali was tougher than Wlad...much tougher. Head to head I would have picked Vitali 10 times out of 10 to knock out his brother...and Vitali would beat guys that could KO Wlad. Wlad hit harder and was faster...but Vitali had every other conceivable advantage.
Vitali was way better than Wlad. Vitali was a double-hard bastard who would present big problems to many of the all-time greats. Wlad just really doesn't like being hit and despite his obvious talent it means fuck all if you're not a natural fighter. I have stuck up for Wlad many times in the past but that shit on the weekend was fucking MEEK. I would have had a lot more respect for him if he had been knocked out but gone out swinging.
Word. That's where I am as well. I have defended Wlad AT LENGTH on this forum, even up to all of last week, but enough is enough. He fought like cunt. A true proud champion would have gone out on his shield. Now I just see a talented but heartless cunt. Such is the word of the Sly One!
In true World Champion style: 'Tyson Fury feasts on 15,000-calorie Nando's meal after beating Wladimir Klitschko to become world heavyweight champion' Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury enjoyed 15,000-calorie Nando's feast Fury's meal consisted 16 chicken wraps, five corn on the cob and six portions of chips as he was pictured dining out with friends The feast at the Bolton restaurant cost a staggering £190 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/bo...mir-Klitschko-world-heavyweight-champion.html
After claiming that he'd been misquoted, Fury then reiterated that he thought homosexuality was wrong. The result is that an online petition calling for the BBC to remove Fury from the shortlist for Sports Personality of the Year has garnered over 40,000 signatures at the time of writing, while Labour MP Chris Bryant has jumped on the bandwagon and suggested Fury should be asked to the House of Commons to explain himself. Fury further compounded the offence with the apparently outrageous suggestion that the favourite for the award, heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill, "looks quite fit when she's got a dress on". Those views, or at least the ones on gay rights, are pretty repugnant to many people. Yet, in declaring his opposition, however clumsily, to abortion and homosexuality, Fury, a born again Christian, is only adopting the same attitude as not just the Irish Catholic Church, but other religions - which, the likes of Chris Bryant, would never dream of criticising. As the boxer says: "The Muslims have their ways, we have ours." Fury is an easy target. Not seen as fully British by the British or fully Irish by the Irish, he occupies that limbo to which Travellers have been consigned historically. They seem to be regarded as, in the words of a forthcoming Hollywood movie, Beasts of No Nation.
It's his opinion if he thinks homosexuality is wrong and I don't think he should be given shit for it. It's one thing if he made disparaging remarks about homosexuals and was calling them "faggots" or whatever but to my understanding he didn't... I think too big a deal is being made out of it, if you ask me. That's as far as I'll go because that will open up a whole different discussion.
63,000 people have signed an online petition to have him DISBARRED from the British Broadcasting Corporations "Sports Person of The Year" competition. Also, this man, an elected Representative, has invited Fury to "Discuss his issues" with him.
Yeah that's too much. Slightly switching gears, Lil Wayne has endorsements with Sprite and some athletic clothing line (Forget exactly which one) and for years his lyrics have contained nothing but homophobic shit despite the fact that he has gone out in public and worn women's leggings for his performances and jeans that fit tighter on him than they would my girlfriend. He did that for YEARS and not only sold records, but he got to appear on ESPN and other mainstream sports shows as an "honorary guest." I may not agree with a person's views, but if he's not imposing them on others, there shouldn't be an issue.
Lil Wayne wasn't 6'8", imposing and handy with his fists. Also, he wasn't white, and Whitey tends to not get away with these things.
I think it has more to do with a different audience. I mean, look at Eminem. He too for years ragged on "faggots" and gave them the middle finger and he was absolutely LOVED... It's gotten to the point where he's being called the GOAT Emcee and I know Xplosive would attest to this too. It has more to do with fighters especially European ones, being held to a higher standard.
Possibly. But you have to live in the UK to know what it is like. London is to faggot, pro-immigration, pro-abortion liberals what Texas is to BBQ's and Guns. Fury SHOULD get the BBC Sports Personality of the Year {British Broadcasting Corporation, not Big Black Cock} but he won't get fucking next nigh or near it.
True. But I dare say that all the major cities are like that, even in the States. NY, Boston, San Fran., etc. And yes even though I don't live in England, I think Fury should get the BBC personality of the Year award. There is nobody that I know of in England TODAY who has achieved what Fury did this year, or anything close.
Well no, Ennis should get it as I said before this "furore" started (it'll probably go to Murray or Hamilton), but yeah this reaction is ridiculous.
Yeah, Ennis should get it. Female, Mixed-Race, Mother, This Girl Can, Blah Blah, Condemner of Ched Evans...............sounds about right up the BBC's one-way, dead-end, cul-de-sac.
No, she should get it because I rate what she did slightly more than Fury. The achievement of Fury was great but it wasn't a good fight and I still feel most of it came down to what Wlad WASN'T doing in there. I won't argue with you on this one because we both see this very differently and we're not gonna budge ::. Anyway I don't think either of them will win it.
Hamilton will get it. Fury weighed nothing at birth...............he's had the roughest life of them all.
Murray is in the running for it (despite being a boring bastard), but why? For claiming victory in the Davis Cup? A TEAM event!
