ugh ' [h=1]BBC Spoty shortlist: petition to remove Tyson Fury reaches 75,000 signatures'[/h]http://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...to-remove-tyson-fury-reaches-55000-signatures
I love the fact that Fury is single-handedly causing the BBC, their precious SPOTY and it's equally precious & boring nominees into :scared::scared::scared: However, to be fair, it's a shot that Hamilton, Murray, etc, have to keep their mouths shut and toe the line because of all the losses they'd make if they were as candid as Tyson. :dunno: Can you imagine this scenario: Interviewer: "Hey Jess, so, unfortunately only bronze for you here at the Sainsbury's UK Championship in Norwich" Jessica Ennis-Hill: "Well, yeah, it's a bollocks-meeting but I got to do it for the points, eh?"
On the left, Clare Balding, a surefire cunt who is into so many things sportswise in the BBC - it wouldn't surprise me if she's Head of BBC Sport before long....and on the right, her, 'Civil Partner'...both are heading the protests of having Tyson Fury at the BBC Sports Personality Awards show next weekend because he's a 'homophobic idiot': http://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...to-remove-tyson-fury-reaches-55000-signatures
I'm a proud member of the "fuck the belts" brigade but that is bullshit. If the rematch clause was in the contract the IBF would have known about it so why the fuck did they sanction it in that case?
Meanwhile 15 days came and passed and the WBC did not strip Canelo of his belt for failing to negotiate a fight with the #1 contender GGG. Gave him an extension until December 11. Nothing will happen.
But if Fury has suddenly said "IBF - I'm not defending against Glazkov for your belt, I've signed to rematch Klitschko instead' - where does that leave the IBF? :dunno:
I originally thought (and I swear I heard the Fury's say this), that the Glazkov fight doesn't bring enough money to the table as they want the biggest fights possible from now on. So being stripped is of no concern to them. But still, it doesn't make sense what the IBF has done.
What is the exact requirement by any of the four major governing bodies in boxing which states that a professional boxer, after winning one of their sanctioned-bouts, has to: a) give a verbal agreement to defend within a certain time-period b) sign an agreement to defend within a certain time-period I can't fin the rulings on the IBF website.
