By the way, I hope the UFC doesn't shelf Holm until Rousey comes back. Holm-Tate is a very marketable fight. I'd love to see that in the spring.

i think the consensus hate on her for taking roids is based on her gender. plus, there haven't been any other notable female fighters who's been popped for roids yet.

 

i'm not sure if cyborg's still managed by tito, but perhaps it's her affiliation with him that ticks dana off. i think tito was part of her team when they were initially in negotiations with dana.

 

Agreed, look at Vitor Belfort and Josh Barnnett, these are repeat offenders yet still fight and are heavily promoted by the UFC.

 

Yeah but how? Most females at 145 are either fat or in Cyborgs case because they are basically men. Hell if you have to trim down for 135 you are not a normale female. Of course the talent will be spread around the median weight of non-obese females. Look at the female heavyweight division in boxing. There are like 5 active fighters in the world...

 

Get real. More people know Holly Holm's name today than Cyborg's. Cyborg is known and regarded among long time and hardcore fans but That would magnified by 1000 if she walked thru Holm at 135.

I've made this point to Anthony multiple times. There are zero female fighters of note at 145. And Cyborg doesn't have enough time left in her career to grow the talent pool at 145 to make an impact.

If she continues to fight at 145, it will be in Invicta with the 10-15 fans that watch. Regardless of Rousey going down, 135 in the UFC is the ONLY place Cyborg will gain Rousey-level recognition.

I despise both but there is a simple biological reason why it bothers me more with Cyborg.

 

PEDs are equally bad for either sex. They are the worst kind of cheating. 3 year ban first offense; Lifetime ban second offense.

To believe that Cyborg only used PEDs the one time she got caught is worst than believing in Santa Claus.

Well, I'm not going to research and quote sources but I'm pretty sure the effects in women are longer lasting than in men after stopping.

Additionally, a chick increasing her testosterone to estrogen ratio is basically turning her into a man (minus the junk). Again that's pretty simple biology but I'm not going to bother quoting sources. If you don't agree, then considering me wrong.

Cyborg was juicing for years before she got caught. She's the poster child (or poster man) for anabolic steroid side effects in women.

I'm against anyone taking steroids in sports organizations where they're banned. It's worse with women because it gives them more of an extreme advantage over their natural opponents. AAS basically transform women into men. That's how the female to male transgender thing works. Cyborg has the body frame and strength now that she never could have achieved naturally, even if she quit.
