Apparently this fight is in the works. GOOD matchup! First REAL test for J-Rock, as Soro is a good fighter who can ruin a fraud prospect (like he did to Glen Tapia).
Just found out about this. Good match up. And the winner becomes the mandatory for Jermall Charlo's title, I believe.

I'm not surprised. You can add Austin Trout to the list of fighters ducking J-Rock as well. That one I don't even understand, though. I mean, WHAT options does Trout have???... He's not particularly exciting. It's not like he's IN LINE to have rematches with Canelo or Cotto... No reason he'd want it with Lara again. He's not an attractive opponent for Golovkin. And I don't hear his name coming up as a potential opponent for either of the Charlo bros, and Andrade is a sleeper kind of guy nobody is too anxious to face either... It's the same deal with all these other guys like Thurman, Garcia, and Khan. Doing everything they can to avoid facing any kind of challenge.

I still don't get Trout turning down a fight with Julian. It's not like he's in line for any big money super star fights.
Centeno Jr is a questionable prospect to me. I see Soro as a better fighter. I fully expect Williams to handily beat Soro though. Soro is by FAR better than anyone Jermall has fought. I don't even think I'd pick Jermall over Soro.
He mentioned Jan 23rd. My guess is it ends up as the Garcia-Guerrrero undercard, which makes Garcia-Guerrero the walkout fight...
