And you missed the point. You can't compare chins when you're getting hit differently.

This is true, but it is the way that Aldo got caught which was amateurish and embarrasing.

you forgot about his Siver fight.

I think the Max Holloway win is underrated on Conor's record.

Oh please. Sonny Liston got caught the same fucking way. Out in the first. He must have been an amateur.

Against whom ?? I don't recall Mercer ever being down after taking an head kick. I do remember him quitting after taking one vs Bojansky (he claimed Bojansky toe nail scartch his eye), but he wasn't wobbly.

Edit : I did a little research and I was right. No such thing ever happened.

Seeing Kevin Lee get destroyed by that 35 year old Brazilian was funny.

True. Even though he didn't stop Holloway, it was a telling fight for McGregor. He hurt his leg and used great wrestling and top control to dominate Max.

The Siver fight was a systematic beat down of a good striker.

I'll favor Edgar if they get matched but McGregor can't be viewed as a joke anymore.

He's had a bunch of close decisions but they aren't boring. His last 2 fights with Maynard are among the best fights in MMA history.

More than the real deal, I'd say.
Plus, he doesn't seem to be (as of yet) a total cunt that someone like Mayweather is.

McGregor is brash and over-the-top....but he's not unlikeable.

The dude seems to be spending like he's making Mayweather money. I'd love to know how much he's actually made.

Little early to say. If Aldo wins a rematch it will rewrite the story again as Conor's punch becomes a fluke.

Are you seriously going to use a supposed fixed fight as your example?

What INTEREST Is There in a RE???...

REED Isn't Sure if Aldo ALWAYS Does it, but the Way he AVOIDED Eye Contact w/Conor, @ ALL Costs, Didn't Make him Look like a Picture of CONFIDENCE...Then he Gets Stretched in 13 Seconds...Even w/McGregor's MASS Appeal, it'd Be DIFFICULT Justifying a RE, Especially an IMMEDIATE One...If McGregor-Edgar ISN'T Next, Conor Should Move Up to Lightweight, Where Dana White has ALREADY Indicated he'd Go STRAIGHT to a Title Shot...

Trust me I agree about whether there will or should be a rematch. Edgar will likely choke out a White if he doesn't get Conor next.

But, if there is a rematch, I've got to imagine much of the pressure would be off Aldo and it might actually be a good fight.

I think it would be a similar ending. Aldo is fairly reckless with his striking and I can see him getting clipped again.

Hummm...I think Aldo is done now.
Brazilians aren't the most 'introspective' types to work on 'what-went-wrong' and 'how-can-I-redeem' myself'.

Edgar is the logical fight next....and then Anjos, at 155, who he'll also beat

They could put it together with the Holm-Rousey rematch, the whole redemption angle. i'm sure it would do well.

Anyone who thinks the fight was fixed is a fool. It was a perfect punch going in as listons momentum was coming forward

REED Could Be Wrong, but he Believes McGregor's IN Aldo's Head, Whereas Jose is in Conor's Back Pocket...If Aldo Became Unnerved by McGregor's Antics PRIOR to them Ever Fighting, REED Can't Imagine him Being (or PERFORMING) Any More Relaxed, After a Devastating, 1-Sided Loss...

This is a perfect outcome for an immediate rematch. This can easily be sold by claiming the punch was a fluke. If this was a Long beat down over five rounds, then a rematch would be pointless. But I think a rematch would be a good idea. That being said, White has already said that Connor can get an immediate title shot at 155. Or he can fight Edgar. Connor states that he will be a true division champ and will not vacate the belt

What you saw was the WEC Aldo. That is the way he fought in W EC. In the UFC he was a lot more composed and took his time. A rematch would be much different. Although I still think Connor will win , I think the fight will be a little bit more back-and-forth
