As we see, Fury decisioned Wladimir in a spoiler-filled, low-punch-output fight, and the consensus is, he'd win the rematch. However, how does he fare against Vitali: rock-chin, equal physical attributes, better power?
Aye it'd be an action fight but it'd look a bit like two special ed mongos scrapping in the playground Gotta fancy Vitali to outwork him. That guy had the capacity & willingness to throw allot of leather
Wlad wasn't affected by 'antics' imo, he was affected by height, speed, awkwardness and the fact Fury's punches had more effect on him than the reverse.
Vitali ain't KO-ing shit. You guys have always said Wlad is the more offensive, harder-hitting brother - and hem got owned. Slow Vitali would be just another horrible, points-win victory for Fury.
I don't know what Prime Vitaly is......but any version up to the one from his last fight...beat the fuck out of Fury.
Yeah, you allfucking said that about Wladimir 7 days ago!! Break it down and explain why Vitali wins and you might come off as knowing some shit.
Who has beaten Vitali on points in a boring fight? Vitali lost twice in his career, when he hurt his shoulder and quit agaist Byrd and when the ref stopped it (when he was winning and didn't want to quit) against Lewis. Are you saying Tyson Fury is better than everyone else Vitali beat? Or that Fury would beat a mid 40s Vitali today.
Tough to tell. Vitaly has one of the worst resume among the HW greats. Sure he looked decent enough against an old fat Lewis, but against his next best opponent, Byrd, he looked like a big pile of shit, even before the injury. Not to mention that Chisora gave him a real struggle, and yet couldn't even do anything with a green Fury. Gun to my head, I'd take fury in a real close one. HIs jab and movement would give a lot of trouble to Vitaly
Fury is definitively better than anyone Vitaly beat It's not even questionable. He would make it a good fight. I'm not sure he wins but he makes it close at the very least.
Vitali would walk Fury down, spear him with the sort of right hands he did Kirk Johnson when they fought. Johnson , even the heavy Johnson, was faster on his feet and had faster hands than Fury. He landed shit and avoided just as much. Vitali could keep the hands moving, 70 shots a round and would not be the least bit affected by Furys power or antics. Watch the JC Gomez fight for how he handles a big southpaw. He just keeps the pressure up. And if Fury attacks, there is no better counter puncher for dealing with Fury than Vitali, his lateral movement was underrated and he brought UP shots from out of the field of vision which Wlad never does. He doesn;t load up on every shot and knows how to keep the hands moving. Like Manny Steward said, he was a master of "All these weird kind of punches"....Wlad was too textbook, Vitali by contrast had these wierd, upper-hook sort of shots and threw them from below the waist.
Some facts: 1. He went into the Byrd fight with the injury, had not prepared for Byrd but had prepared for Razor Ruddock who pulled out with 2 weeks to go. So his two losses were fights he took on short notice. Byrd was miles behind on the cards. 2. He was 40 when he beat Chisora and did it with one good arm.
The sheer irony of people bringing up the Chisora fight :: Chisora had that one loss to Fury before he fought Vitali, he arguably beat Helenius and had not yet fought Haye. A 40 year old Vitali, with one arm, won a wide unanimous decision, same as a 22 year old Fury :: Yet old Vitali gets shit for dealing with the same fighter, who was much more experienced and in better shape by the time he fought Vitali.
1- Pretty sure you are making this up to defend your hero. From what I rebember, Vitaly claimed he got injured when Byrd caught one of his punches with his gloves. And while Byrd was behind on the cards, it was a rather close fight. 2- Even before the ''injury'', Chisora was way more competitive than he was against Fury. 3- Let's also not forget that Vitaly shamefully ducked Rahman, of all people
Who said that? Vitali was the superior brother, no question there and Fury is not that difficult to hit. Vitali by KO eventually.
He looked better when an opponent was offering little to no resistance. Wlad had better one shot power and punching technique but i don't know what he was so much better offensively. Vitali never froze up or looked to clinch as soon as opponent dared to hit back.
