Duran via late stoppage. Competitive early rounds, turns ugly and one sided by the mid rounds.

Look at what Duran did to Palomino, then picture it on a bigger scale as lightweight Duran was better than welterweight Duran.

Castillo is made in Heaven for Duran.

if we're talkin about Castillo who fought mayweather jr then you'd have to put him against duran who fought davey moore, not duran who fought palomino

What did Duran weigh for Palomino? 145, I think. Duran always put on weight quickly, so you have to figure even with a same day weigh-in the guy probably still came into the ring 6-7 pounds heavier than what he weighed in at.

Size wouldn't help Castillo here in any capacity. He could honestly outweigh Duran by 10-12 pounds and it wouldn't help him. Pounds don't always translate to strength. Duran was physically stronger than Castillo. In addition to have a HUGE edge in speed.

Castillo was more or less the same size as palomino. 50/50 whether Castillo sees the final bell, imo...any urologists and neurologists on duty nearby would be willing a quick end

Castillo's durability is overrated as HELLLLLL. Palomino had a far better chin.

I agree that Duran beats Castillo and fairly clearly...but man y'all kill me with this Duran love! lol

He wasn't as good as y'all make him out to be. Put him in there with a slick boxer and he lost more often than not.

I would love to have seen him against Aaron Pryor though. That would have been a great fight, stylewise.
