Wonder Woman (2017) first look/clips

From that CW 'DC Dawn of Justice League' special that aired last night. IMO it looks better than that terrible 'Suicide Squad' trailer.

Super hero movies are fucking gay

 

There has never been a female super hero film before except for that lame Uma Thurman comedy 'My Ex-super girlfriend'. So you cannot pass judgment until is released. I do agree with you about Gal Gadot skinny bones, though.

 

Wonder woman is far more celebrated than those characters though.

Though I agree with you in principle that female leads can't usually carry a film.

Still Katniss Everdeen is a hero of sorts and those films did well.

 

No need, I got the context of your response. I'm really more addressing your earlier point:

We haven't yet had a female superhero as celebrated as Wonder Woman...and hunger games showed that the right female character can carry a film.

 

Again, based on what? There hasn't yet been a comic book film where the lead character is as famous and popular as wonder woman.

Catwoman? Elektra? Supergirl? You can't compare those characters to Wonder Woman.

 

Those three films are among the top 25 worst movies ever made. It wasn't the character's fault, but yeah, I accept my early Alzheimers. ld:

Popular comic book characters tend to do better at the box office than obscure ones. That's all I'm saying. I don't think it's a gender thing per se, I think it's down to the character.

 

....AND the script AND the director. The three films Antoinette mentioned before could have been so much better IF they didn't had shitty plots and lousy direction.

Besides the fact that she has proven to be a very good director (Monster), Patty Jenkins can extract some acting chops out of Gal Gadot that we all don't know she posses. I dunno if she will be good at this type of film, but she will definitely pull a better Wonder Woman character we can care about than a style & no substance male director like McG.

 

Because women director's have a hard time getting jobs in Hollyweird. But maybe she is a total psycho bitch and no one wants to work with her, but you can't deny that she turned pretty girl Charlize Theron into an Academy Award winning actress in her film.

 

Without her director Theron would have portrayed that serial killer as a sexy bitch. And you sound like a Donald Trump groupie.

 

She stole the spotlight over the guys behind her.
