you guys always watch these heavyweight stiffs and when i read the topic they are filled with nothing but complaints about how shitty the fight is. wtf were you expecting, you mongoloids?

Wilder is what he is. His variety of skill is very narrow, he can't fight inside, he loops his punches, he seemed to get tired even though the pace was slow. However, in boxing you don't have to be all-around better to beat your opponent. You need just one advantage and make that count. Wilder has a big punch which makes him difficult to beat.

Though let's not forget, Bryant Jennings beat Szpilka easier than this and he was recently knocked out by Ortiz.

Tyson Fury is a funny fellow. It was nice to see Wilder not join him in that silliness though

wilder got some bad kos. wonder if that messes with your head, fucking people up like that.

  12. Fury is good for Heavyweight boxing. He'll bring a great deal of public attention to it with his antics. Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury may now be very talented between them but a unification fight between them would be HUGE! I for one would love to see it.

outside of their fighting style and their ability levels, Tyson fury and his namesake seem to have a lot of similarities. both seem to have a kind of mental vulnerability, that desperate need for public approval, and express their emotions in the same uninhibited, raw way. it's all on the surface with them, they hold nothing back, because of the turmoil inside they feel they need validation. good chance fury is gonna end up a broke mess in the future, go through the kind of bad times that mike has.

maybe the point is, be careful which celebrities you name your kid after. when fury was born, Tyson was the seemingly invincible, undisputed champion of the world.

Fury is more calculating than some give him credit for. He KNOWS what he's doing. He knows how to pull his opponent's strings. The exchange with Wilder was very telling. Fury got in the ring and Wilder did not look as comfortable as he was trying to portray and Fury got him unhinged.

It's just like he does with his other opponents. He breaks them down mentally with mind games and gets everyone to think "I've got to fight this crazy fuck."

Basically, I think he had Wilder a little shook.

  15. Fury's growing on me. I'll be rooting for him in a Klitschko rematch. The division needs a "character" like him.

Fury will be OK. Unlike most, he has an actual family to look after and to look after him. That was why he needed to be censured about his remarks....as he was promoting Christian, family values, a big no no in Modern Britain.

Good post. Wilder lacks instincts, but he has enough else going for him that he's pretty formidable. That stamina issue you point out is the most concerning thing, though. That was not the type of fight that shouldn't have stressed his stamina, but it did.

I agree. I thought Wilder was not affected, but then he showed he was with the 'bombzquad!!!' crap and the hyperness.

Against Wlad, it appeared Fury was not 6'9" as is claimed, but closer to Wlad's height. However, it appeared he had about 2" on Wilder who is supposed to be 6'7". Maybe Wlad grew.

Wlad will be awake for the rematch and will starch him before round 8.

I have to agree with this. The only reason why Fury has that belt is because Wlad didnt let his hands go. I see Fury getting stopped in the re.

I am picking Wlad in the rematch and also believe he'll let his hands go this time. But, if Wlad lets his hands go, Fury might do the same thing and Fury's size and strength still bring things to the table that could make it a very tough fight. Fury's confidence figures to be at megalomaniac levels these days.

  24. Wlad will lose the rematch. He'll be even older this time and even less confident. Fury may actually stop him this time.

  25. Jimmy

Jimmy The Greatest of Are Times

My gut feeling all along has been that wlad will beat Fury in a rematch. Not sure if by KO or points, but he'll win.

And I would love it, LOVE it, if Fury sparks out that annoying cunt Wilder.
