Westbrook made a leap and proved me wrong. His first few seasons he looked like he was no better than Steve Francis. Then BOOM, all of a sudden he elevates his game and becomes an elite player. "Like I said before", what separates Irving from Lillard? Nothing. In fact, this year Lill is having a better season than Irving's ever had. Put Lillard next to Lebron, and I think the Cavs would be better off. Lillard, like Irving, can take over games with his scoring, and isn't an injury liability.
REED Thinks Kyrie's AGE Helps the Dynamic w/Bron...Kyrie ISN'T Even 24 Yet...He's Also in Year 2 of a 5 Year Deal and Will Be 27 & IN His Prime, the Next Time he's a Free Agent...Time is STILL On Kyrie's Side, in Other Words... Steph's 4 FULL Years Older...Westbrook's Got Kyrie by 3 1/2 Years...Even Damian Lillard's Like 1 1/2 Years Older...Time is ON Kyrie's Side, if he Can Fight Thru the Nagging Injuries (Something Steph HIMSELF Struggled w/, for a Couple Years as a Pro)... To REED, the DWade-Kyrie Comparison was NEVER about their Abilities, Head to Head...It was About BENEFITTING from a More Prominent Player (Shaq, in DWade's Case), Gaining Championship Level Experience and GROWING from it...Kyrie Irving WILL Be a Better Player @ the End of this Current Contract, from having PLAYED w/LeBron James... Last Time REED Checked, Akron DIDN'T have a Basketball Team, Homey::... REED:hammert:
I like Kyrie though. He's extremely fun to watch when he's on. But I don't think he's a guy you're ever gonna win with if he's the first option. That's why the Cavs window is small. They gotta win while Lebron is still a number 1 option. Love is a fraud and that shoulda been apparent in Minny when he never could carry that team to the playoffs, and put up a bunch of empty stats. Seems hard to believe now, but when he was with the Wolves they were calling Love the next Dirk. I found it hilarious even then.
Kyrie might be a better player when his contract is up but the question is whether he'll have a ring. Also to your point about the defense Kyrie played against Curry in the first game of the finals... That was a mixture of the scheme Cleveland played and Curry's shot being off. Don't forget, through three games based on the commentary by talking heads Delavadova was playing lights out defense against Curry...which wasn't the case at all. Cleveland played team defense to stop Steph.
Hey guys long time no see up in here. Anyone see this Yahoo piece on how LBJ never gave Blatt a chance because he wanted Marc Jackson as his coach because Jackson was going to sign to Bron's sports agency? Are you kidding me? All that unprofessionalism over a got damn percentage? Here's the link: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/how-da...with-lebron-james-and-his-camp-035612484.html
Only been regularly watching NBA the last few weeks or so but my Thunder is starting to utilize more ball movement. Problem is they are pretty inconsistent with it. Westbrook will bust out 2 or 3 games looking like Rajon Rondo with offense and then they play a dangerous team like this past Mavericks game and him and Durant start going into iso's again and limiting ball movement. It's like they still don't trust the system completely. And let me just say we did not deserve to win that Mavericks game. In all honesty I wish we would have lost it. We had about a ten point lead with about 4 minutes left and they came all the way back and Dirk missed an open 3 followed by Dallas getting the rebound and Chandler missing a desperation 3 that just missed the target at the buzzer. Had it not been for the lead we had in the 4th, we would have lost that game. The defense looked terrible as we constantly got killed on back doors and people not covering their man. People never mention us as contenders and I agree that we aren't. We just have too many holes on D and don't stand a chance against the Spurs or Warriors both of whom I believe would sweep us. I think the Cavs versus us is a pick em and could go either way only because the Cavs are going through a transition now and haven't been that consistent themselves.
Blake Griffin fractures his hand after punching a member of the Clippers equipment staff. Fuckin idiot.
Pops pretty much tanked that game against the Warriors, once the 3rd quarter got out of hand and without Duncan to provide any defense for them. No point trying to claw back in a meaningless game.
Meaningless game? LMFAAAOOOO!!! You must be a Spurs fan. Had the Spurs won that game, they woulda been 1 game back on the Dubs for best record in the league, as opposed to 3 games back now. Considering both GS and the Spurs are damn near invincible on their home courts, it's VERY important the Spurs try to establish HCA and prove that they can win in Oakland. Instead, they got dismantled and embarrassed. To say that game was meaningless is just absurd.
aldridge looking lost and useless certainly doesnt seem to bode well for the spurs down the road in a series against GS
Nah Man, I'm rooting for the Warriors. I just think Pops thinks it's a meaningless game. It wouldn't be the first time he played things close to the vest in the regular season against a team he thought he might have to go up against deep in the Playoffs. Duncan out, Parker played 18 minutes, not a single starter played more then 25 minutes. Pops isn't going to show his hand against the Warriors until he has to. I think he's already conceded the West to Golden State. He's playing to stay as the two seed.
If that's the hand Pop is playing, he's making a mistake. It's hard to imagine GS losing any series with HCA. Spurs should be attempting #1.
Nah, he knows his team is too old to pull that off. Even a guy like LaMarcus Aldridge has health issues he has to keep an eye on.
if curry is playing at this same level in the post season then it will be very difficult for any team to beat them. the rest of the contenders have to hope he comes back to earth or other key guys on that roster get injured.
Pops Likely DID Tank the 2nd Half, but the Warriors were HANDILY Whipping the Spurs Ass in the 1st Half Too... Pop Started Danny Green on Steph, Who QUICKLY Dropped 10 or 12 on Green...Then Pop Immediately Switched to Kawhi on Steph...But Steph had Kawhi on SKATES All Night... When the CHIEF Rival within Your Conference Whips You by 30, that AIN'T Meaningless, Bro...The Spurs WILL Look to Rectify This Whenever Golden State Visits San Antonio...But if REED were the Warriors Coach, he'd REST Steph, Klay Thompson and Draymon Green, just to Be an Asshole... REED:hammert:
Looking Lost, Useless and BLOATED...Thank GOD for Boris Diaw's Fat Ass, or MORE Would Be Made of the Weight Aldridge has Gained... REED:hammert:
Last Night's Game was SURREAL...Golden State Administered an Efficient, Cutthroat, SpursLIKE Asswhipping TO the Spurs... Guys FUMBLING the Ball, Getting it STOLEN, Defenders Getting BADLY Beaten on Back Cuts to the Basket, Or Giving Up UNfuckingCONTESTED 3's...REED Can't Recall a Team Making the Spurs Look THAT Inept... Yes, it was "Just 1 Game", but the Spurs had Better Be VERY Concerned about the Warriors...As Should Cleveland and Every Other Team in the League... Golden State AIN'T Fucking Around... REED:nono:

Over Iverson? I'm not so sure there REED. Vert alone maybe but factor in speed and I'd give AI the nod still.
LBJ definitely had a hand in the firing. It's very transparent especially with the Cavs making loud comments about how it wasn't his decision.
LSUs coach is pretty incompetent. They failed to get simmons the ball down the stretch of a game they easily could have won vs the top ranked team in the nation. As for buddy hield, that kid can score. I see him becoming an nba all star 2 guard
I'd give the nod to Iverson as well. Prime Kevin Johnson has a case for being the most athletic PG of all time. Before injuries slowed his career, Johnson was lightning quick and had crazy hops. Steve Francis of course was insanely athletic. As was Baron Davis. So, I'd say the 5 most athletic PG's of all time are Iverson, KJ, Westbrook, Francis, and Davis.
I'd say that Francis was more athletic than WB. Obviously, not nearly as good a player, but more athletic. Francis was a better dunker too. Top 10 dunker in history really.
francis had bounce, but he was more of a combo guard than a point. same could be said of westbrook but he is at the 1 and has still managed to lead his team to the finals. still think he's miscast and would be better off playing next to a guy who can run the show and hit open spot up shots
Yeah Davis is a another good one. Though his attitude sucked Marbury had his moments. Purely on athletics you'd have to put a guy like Robert Pack up there too. All around I think Iverson takes it. Not a knock on Westbrook as he's a far better player than most of the guys listed.
