  6. This is a bad fight for both guys. Poor decision.

Canelo feasting on the much smaller guy that's been KO'd twice before is a no win situation and doesn't help the prospect of a GGG Middleweight unification fight.
Khan has a great deal of potential big money fights at 147lbs where he's more comfortable and he's too small to be a career Jnr Middle or Middle and is likely to get KTFO and so what the hell is he thinking?

    Dumb dumb fight all round....

will the added weight help khan absorb shots better? as i remember algeri walking him down i say no

Best case scenario - Khunt gets brutally KO'd, but makes the Ginger look like shit beforehand.

Canelo deserves to get beat for this. At least Khan has guts.

True, but it should at least be against somebody his size.

I'll be tuning in to watch and laugh. Obviously i would never pay for this sham though.

    exactly.

I dunno.... I suppose Khan has a VERY SMALL chance. Ginger has lead feet. In theory, if Khan can flurry and move ALLLL NIGHT, he's got a shot.

I simply can't imagine him not getting stopped though. But he's got a VERY, VERY small chance.

The scheduled date has nothing to do with Cinco de Mayo, it's just how long it will take for Canelo to make weight. He's already in training.

Yep, but the more weight he adds presumably the less he'll be able to move. It's hard to imagine him not getting clipped at some point.

Obvious cash-out for Khan. I expect him to retire after this.

kind of no lose for khan actually. he could get fights after on hbo or showtime now.

If he gets splattered in a round or two? I'm not sure

Wow... I think perhaps Khan might have some perverse notion of, ' if Mayweather can school Ginge.....then why can't I'...

I've always thought the guy was a first class twat but you have to give him his due... He has bollocks to make a jackass jealous

Yeah that's just the thing. On one hand losing shouldn't hurt his standing too much considering he can just point out that his opponent was much bigger but yet he still had the balls to fight him. On the other if isn't competive at all and he's gets blasted out early nobody will care about the size disparity. They're not going to say "i want to see that guy again and i'll even pay for it".

but if he is guaranteed 1-2 winnable fights after? on hbo or showtime? what is the difference?

  29. whiskey

    whiskey Czarcasm

If is the key word. If he puts in a respectful performance i think that's likely. If he gets splattered in quick fashion? Not so sure. Headlining? Even less likely.

    THIS...

This fight is such a mismatch that it's disgusting. Going in with no tune up, having been inactive for a year, this is Khan's swan song.

And make no mistake, this will be a brutal beat down. BRUTAL.

    Canelo KO within 5
