Did you guys see Cam at the press conference? One and two word answers with this pissed off look on his face before getting up and leaving without a word in the middle of it?

No class at all. If he won he'd be doing his gay little dances and jumping around all over the place, but he handles losing like a little bitch. He has a lot to learn about being a professional.

Cam was poor but his receivers weren't much better. Denver's defence was superb. Well deserved win.

    Boring ass game.
Cam acted like a bitch, from what I saw he put his helmet back on at the end of the game to hide his sore loser bitch-face from everyone else on the field. I went into the game wanting to see both sides win, but by the end wishing both could lose.

And their qb made McMahon look like Johnny unitas

Chokey Mannager tossed several potential picks including an early 1 that was easy pick 6 game changer McClain was a tenth of a second quicker

Yeah man Peyton looked completely inept at playing nfl qb. The teams D was just that good. They stonewalled Cam and scored all the points too. Could've had an average high school qb in there wouldn't have looked alot different.

Cam sure bitched out on going for that fumble. I think Elway needs to show him how to risk everything when a superbowl is on the line.

Cam should have sat on Von Miller's lap for the presser...he was behind him all night anyway.

I don't blame Cam for walking out. If you listen to the video you can hear the Bronco's press conference and they were talking about him. Plus with the shit questions he put up with all week, like the clown from the Wall Street Journal asking why he wore socks with sandals, I'm sure he was done. Better to walk out than say something he'd regret.

My perspective on the fumble it looked like the O Lineman was about to pounce on it and he wasn't going to wrassle with his teammate for the ball. That was my take.

Denver's defense was dialed in no doubt, it was Cam vs 11 almost all night. Manning didn't do shit. He made Trent Dilfer look like Tom Brady.

Not that it would have made a difference because the Denver defense was in lockdown mode all night, but that initial challenge on the Cotchery catch, should have been overturned, and I still can't wrap my head around why it was not. It did indirectly lead to a Denver defensive TD on the next play.

    agREED.

Stewart bent back awkwardly on the next play then the sack fumble, TD.

My take on that game, is why Carolina never game planned for a short passing game strategy. Lots of crossing patterns and screen passes to RB's.

The Denver line is way to fast for that option shit and waiting for his half-assed group of receivers to get open downfield, against an also excellent Defensive backfield.

Cam was also overthrowing guys when the did get open. Carolina defense held their own, but that was just a horrible offensive game plan.

Even at the very end of the game. I know it was out of hand already, but punting on 4th and 24 with two minutes left and down two TD's. Just fucking go for it. More of a chance you'll convert a 4th and 24, then you'll get the ball back with 1 minute on the clock and zero timeouts and be able to pull 2 TD's out of your ass.

Disagree. If you look how that 'maintaining possession to the ground' rule has been applied throughout recent history, this call was very much consistent with past decisions. I couldn't understand why the commentators believed it would be overturned, I thought it was very clear-cut incomplete.

  19. Nobleart

    Nobleart Narwhal King

The ball never touched the ground. He had a body part under it at all times. He never lost possession once he went to the ground, and it wasn't an out of bounds play, so I'm not sure what you were seeing. :scratcher:

The ball did hit the ground though. Right around the 4 second mark the tip hits the ground causing it to move.

The rules are so unclear about what's a catch and what isn't a catch though that it just seems like a judgement call every time a catch is disputed.

I thought he got his forearm underneath it in time, but whatever, Carolina wasn't doing shit with the ball the whole game.

I don't see the big deal... Why should he have to sit there and answer inane questions while he listens to people talk about him while he's right there? Sportswriters are fucking twats anyway

Because it's part of the job. 49 losing QB's did it before him.

I think the rules are pretty clear. Obviously some situations lead to decisions having to be made. In this case the decision was did the ground contacting the ball play a part in it dislodging. IMO and that of the official reviewers, yes. Where I think the rule has been misapplied in the past is when posession is established prior to the player going to the groud. Like the Dez catch, where he possesses, made a 'football move' by reaching out, while simultaneously being tripped. That was a catch. In this one going to the ground was integral part of the catch, so IF the ball hits the ground, it can't move, period.

Can't say I ever remember a losing superbowl QB pout through his press conference like a little kid who got put in the corner for misbehaving, give 1 or 2 word answers, then just get up and leave in the middle of it without saying a word.

I could almost excuse it if it were someone like Marhshawn Lynch, who acts that way all the time, win, lose or draw. But Newton is always trying to draw attention to himself with his gay dances and gestures, etc. And suddenly when the attention is on him because of his failures, he gets all cranky and bitchy.

Newton wants to be one of the faces of the NFL. He's in a ton of commercials. He was just named MVP. Losing with class is part of the job.
