I think Tiger would've made Golov a good boy. Tiger was the toughest, strongest middleweight I've ever seen. I think brawling with him was suicide.
What's with you guys automatically picking guys from the 50s and 60s over contemporary fighters? Athletes are getting better, not worse. I can't see anyone from that era, not named SRR, beating GGG.
I don't think that's a problem as Golovkin seems smart enough not to brawl with him. Was it Giardello who said regarding Tiger "I wouldn't trade stamps with him"? ::
Hurricane Carter, Florentino Fernandez, and Gene Fullmer are better opponents than anyone on Golov's resume.
You can't evaluate matchups like that though. We've been through this before a dozen times....based on this logic Frazier should have annihilated Foreman when they first fought.
If G makes use of his jab and boxing skills like he did against Lemieux, he may be able to win a decision IMO.
Tiger beats GGG and makes him his bitch. Tiger turned 'alpha male' types into little pussies. GGG would be no different. Also, there's literally no proof that athletes are getting better in boxing.
