Indeed. One of the best verses in hip hop, period.

Wu in their glory days was GOLD.

Ghost won the Grammy award for best metal performance! Fuck yeah! I forgot that was happening today. I didn't think they'd win against more established bands like Lamb of God. People all around the world are starting to recognize the brilliance of Ghost.

  7. Further proof (if anymore was needed) that The Grammy's are fucking wank.

    Congratulations, mw. :bears:

I remember liking this song as a kid. My dad used to listen to the oldies station in the car. I liked it but didn't understand it at all. This is the kind of song you understand and appreciate for the first time when you fall in love for the first time. "Oh, so that's what all those songs on the radio are about."

It's such a great melody and the dreamy mood captured with liberal use of reverb and vibrato is tremendous... This was before multi tracking and advanced push-button effects... Very raw set-up ... A lot of work had to go into creating that sound

Lou Rawls had such a cool, unique voice. You'd think he would've had more hits.

    Anyway, great song.

Since today is the great Irma Thomas' 75th Birthday. Amazing song from when singers actually had talent and sung with emotion and everything wasn't Pro-Tools, Auto-Tune, American Idol crap. I would love to hear one of today's singers try this one without any studio help.

Who says drummers can't be great front men? The crowd is more like a religious revival than a concert. Good stuff.

I've been getting into this band Exmortus lately. Their vocals are pretty heavy, but they've done instrumental covers of Beethoven piano sonatas on both of their albums.

This is Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata from their first album. It takes serious talent to play this kind of music this fast on a guitar.

I heard this band Babymetal for the first time yesterday. I never thought I'd hear a mix of Japanese pop and metal. I just heard of them yesterday, and this song is already in the Devil's Dozen (top 12 metal songs) on my radio station. I listened to them on Spotify for a few hours in the car today. They're fun.

The lead singer is 18. That means it's ok to think she's hot.

Deafheaven, a different band I've gotten into recently. This song is so dramatic and emotional. It's intense.
