Felix Verdejo in his toughest bout to date will face this Saturday unbeaten 6' 1" William 'Baby Face' Silva (23-0, 14 KOs). Here is a clip of Silva's last bout two months ago. He looks more like a 154lbs and not a lightweight here. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4chCsRqmZek" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
So similar to Cotto-Pinto that it's kinda scary. This Brazilian fucker even looks like Kelson Pinto. Verd will smoke this chump. I'd say after this fight that Verdejo will be ready to KO glass Linares.
I have said that Verdejo will KO Linares more than a year ago. I hope Linares is still around with a belt when Felix comes for him.
Seen one of his fights. Big strong guy at the weight. But Verdejo is on a different level. Won't go past 4
How come this dude is 6' 1" and is a lightweight? I mean, Thomas Hearns was that same height and as a welter he looked kinda skinny, but this dude looks solid by fight time.
Assuming that Verdejo wins tonight like it is expected, who should he face next? I mean I know he needs to step up in competition before going for a belt, but honestly, who is out there? BTW Verdejo is ranked #2 at the WBA, #3 at the WBO, #7 at the IBF and strangely #12 at the WBC :scratcher: (maybe because Linares is their champion and Sulaiman Jr is trying keep Verdejo away from him? :dunno:). But who are these other champions? Do you see any of these beating El Demento? Anthony Crolla (WBA) Terry Flanagan (WBO) Rances Barthelemy (IBF)
