Conor won the featherweight title and immediately wanted to take on the lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos. The guy who's been destroying the best guys at lightweight, maybe the deepest division. That was the ballsiest thing I've seen in MMA since BJ Penn took on GSP for the welterweight title.

Conor believes he can beat anyone. I want to believe. I also love Nate Diaz as a fighter. I'll be happy for whoever wins and sad for whoever loses.

 

I'm a big Lawlor fan. I met him the last time I lived in Orlando. I'm hoping he can pull off the upset win.

Ronda's fights weren't like this. Literally every fight with Ronda ended early and brutally. Holly beat the shit out of her, but that still counts.

I was wrong the size and reach advantage isn't as big as I thought it'd be. Plus Nate has no power.

What an idiot. Why would he go up that high in weight? It was the same as Rousy where he started believing his own hype way too much. I think we can assume Dos Anjos would have beat him as well. This was such a mismatch I'm not sure Diaz should even get too much credit.

 

Good call. Fight shouldve been at 155.

Making it 170 almost puts it into clown show territory. Ridiculous advantage for the bigger fighter.
