Both unbeatable in mythical match ups. Is this a case of the uncatchable fox vs the inescapable hound? Will Zeus once again have to intervene and freeze both in time in order to avert the destruction of the universe due to this paradox?
Ohhh shut the Hell up bitter Flomo. But to answer your question, Montreal Duran stops Curry. Curry simply didn't have the toughness, heart, and durability that Leonard had. He'd have been dragged into Duran's fight, and gotten broken down. Duran TKO 10.
Lol. Why ya gotta be so rude? Don't ya know I'm human too? ;) Why do you think curry would fight Duran the way Leomard did? Perhaps curry would slick it out? Speed precision and power like a Benitez did or a Kirkland Laing. ;)
Curry wasn't as fast on his feet like Leonard. He was very sound technically, but will be in hitting range and Duran would get to him. Duran was definitely lighter on his feet at 147 and below. I think there's a pretty noticeable change in his foot speed and overall aggressiveness once he left 147. He was more measured at 154 and above. Even in New Orleans, when Duran was supposed to have been super bloated and drained, he was still fast and his defensive reflexes sharp. There was one instance where Leonard appeared to have landed a big shot and the crowd gets excited, but watching it again, you see Duran roll back at the last moment and it doesn't lean cleanly. Makes me think the stories of Duran being so out-of-shape are exaggerated, and makes the quit job even more curious (and disgraceful). He wasn't even losing badly. Peak Curry is no easy win for anyone but Duran would probably wear him down and win a decision or stop him late. Like after the final bell in Montreal, Duran will point to his crotch. But instead of taking it as a sign of disrespect, as Duran was doing this in Montreal to taunt Benitez, Curry may get confused and go down on his knees.
Yup. Duran was simply a better fighter than Floyd. Curry wasn't better than Floyd in a P4P sense, but he damn sure was better at 147.
Lol. Let the record show that once again I didn't bring Floyd into this. Floyd beats both, of course.
Both Curry and Duran present Floyd would huge stylistic problems. Floyd struggled with the 07 version of DLH, yet you think he's gonna handle the 85 Curry with some ease? You had to put real hurt, pressure, damage on a prime Curry in order to beat him. Floyd's pot shotting, moving style would actually play into Curry's strengths.
Yo I never said Floyd would beat either with ease. And " struggling" with de la Hoya means nothing. He won 8 rounds to 4 at least and was his first fight at 154lbs besides Oscar was better than curry. Now, you said what A fighter would have to do to beat curry, well to beat Floyd you had to..... Um...... Well.....um.... Hell I don't know, he never got beat! ;)
Yeah, Castillo started off really slow and gave away the first 4-5 rounds IMO. As usual, people take Compubox too seriously, and Lederman was giving credit for ineffective aggression. I wish Castillo had won though. I think Mayweather would have turned out to even be greater than he was as he wouldn't have tried so hard to protect his undefeated record and his overall resume of wins would have been better.
