Holm/Tate is one of the best UFC fights ever. Glad Miesha won but I actually thought she'd get run over.

That fight was a typical Holm snoozer until Misha woke up in the last round

McGregor / Diaz 2 might happen at UFC 200. Seems like a pointless rematch. McGregor should defend his featherweight title if he wants to keep it. Frankie Edgar deserves a title shot. Edgar / Aldo for the belt would be a fun fight if McGregor wants to move up to lightweight.

I'll be happy for Nate if this fight happens. He's finally getting big money fights after all these years.

McGregor has lost all his luster after tapping out to Diaz. It's the only fight for him that makes sense imo. Even is he wins, a lot of that aura is gone forever.

An IMMEDIATE RE Might Even Be DUMBER Than Moving Up 2 Weight Classes to Fight Diaz, on 11 Days Notice...

If McGregor COULDN'T Hurt an Out of Shape Diaz, he's Not Gonna Hurt Full Training Camp Diaz Either...On the Flip side, if an Out of Shape Diaz can ROCK Connor's World and Completely Alter the Complexion of their Fight, w/a SINGLE Shot, he can Definitely Replicate That In Shape...

And as we Saw, If/When it Goes to the Ground, Diaz OWNS McGregor....

Nate has a granite chin. He already showed he can take Conor's best shots. He has maybe the best cardio in MMA along with his brother. Nate will win the boxing war in a 5 round fight.

That's Conor's only option, trying to outbox him. He doesn't have enough time in the next few months to have a chance of competing with Nate on the ground. Nate submits high level BJJ black belts. Conor has to hurt him with punches early to have any chance in the rematch.

The Diaz-McGregor fight was linked in Twitter post today so I ended up watching the fight a couple of times with no commentary or crowd noise. When watching with those conditions, the first round wasn't the big round for McGregor I originally thought after watching it live, in a bar with 200 McGregor fans.

It was a relatively close round. But more importantly, Nate did some real good work on his feet. His jab was on point and his right hook was extremely accurate. Most of these subtle things were missed as the focus was drawn to McGregor's flashy, fully-loaded bombs.

I don't think there is a chance in hell that Conor wins the rematch. How? If he thinks he just needs to be more "ooofecient" with his energy then he likely slows his pace in the rematch. Unfortunately, his work rate was the only thing that kept Nate at bay in the first round. Without that work rate, Conor gets Stockton slapped all over the cage.

All that being said, I don't think the immediate rematch is a bad business decision by Conor or the UFC. Far better for him to lose a rematch to Diaz and still have the weight class excuse. He still has draw at 145. This is a far better alternative than dropping back down to 145 now and losing to Edgar. If that happened, McGregor becomes Lyoto Machida. Interesting but not the foundation of a "new era".

Nate's boxing has been underrated for a long time. He started out as a BJJ guy and developed elite level MMA boxing through his career.

He's vulnerable to the fighting styles of a few top guys. Henderson / MacDonald / RDA can outwrestle him to a decision win. I don't see anyone beating him at boxing or jiu jitsu in the UFC except maybe Pettis.

Diaz / McGregor 2 is officially the headliner for UFC 200. Aldo / Edgar 2 is the co main event for the interim featherweight title.
