Trailer 2 ELEKTRA (I still like Jennifer Garner outfit better) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2Cn3DVV0LHY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Anyone watching this? After watching a few episodes I conclude that this second season is not as great as the first. The first season the stories and character's felt gritty real. This season looks and feels like a generic comicbook adaptation including another failed Elektra incarnation. I wonder why they had to change her so much? Barely resembles the comicbook character and I am not talking about the atrocious costume, but her origin, persona & motivation. The Punisher was the best of this season and Jon Bernthal did a spot on marvelous job. I'll love to see a Punisher series with this actor. On episode 3 there is an awesome 'The Raid' like fight scene with Daredevil beating a gang of criminal bikers while moving down the stairs of a building from the top floor until he reaches the first floor. That scene alone has to be one of the best choreographed fight scenes ever done. Just amazing.
Super-herione characters have always been shit to do because no-one really cares about them. I bet this Elektra is as bad as Jennifer Garner's...
Someone made the show's intro like an Old School video game. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SLloXQzBZ6M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Finished watching the whole season. It was good, but not great as the first season was. In fact the first season writers, director and producer moved-on to other projects and did not worked on this second season and it shows. Things I liked were that we get more Daredevil action in full costume than Matt Murdock's talking parts. But more action doesn't translate into better plot. It was too comicbookish ironically. The whole The Hand, Elektra, Stick, Zombie Ninjas, Black Sky, Blacksmith, etc was too much for one season where the first 6 episodes were basically Punisher driven. Once all those elements took the front center, Frank Castle's story became an afterthought and that sucked. Loved Karen Page & Foggy this season. They also linked this series with Jessica Jones and that was a nice treat. Still pissed at what they did with Elektra. The show still has potential to return to greatness, but I hope they can move pass all this scifi crap and go back to gritty realism. 6/10
Started watching this last night (as well as Stranger Things) and I enjoyed it. Never really a big fan of Daredevil, but always liked The Punisher and I agree, Jon Bernthal is great
