Martin is a pretty good fighter. Not particularly great at any facet, but a decent all around talent. But I think Joshua is on a different level overall. I think his size and power will be too much for Martin to overcome. Joshua KO 5
I haven't seen enough of Martin to accurately make a prediction. He seems to have a good dig and Joshua really struggled with southpaws in the Olympics so this will be a good fight to gauge his progress.
Martin shouldn't be ranked even to top-30 based on what he had done so far. Bulked record with absolutely no names on it and a lucky win over Glazkov. Even Wilder was more proven before his title fight. Thar being said, of course Martin can be as good as anybody since there is no proof otherwise either. For what I have seen he seems to be a careful counter puncher with a big left. He is slow and his footwork is clumsy which is why he loops with his punches. Between two unproven guys anything can happen but I pick Joshua in three
These two look like they box in different physical dimensions, such is the difference in their speed Martin is piss poor... Even at the half-speed he's had to fight in thus far as a professional, he appears clumsy on the attack and slow yet skittish in defense Basically it comes down to Martin's chin... If he can take a lot of lumps, the fight may go a few rounds but I'm going to assume he's a normal guy and I'd be surprised if he sees the third round Joshua KO2
MArtin seems to have a decent counter left hand. That's probably is only chance, to land a big left and stretching AJ.BUt to be hinest, we don't know much about Martin, might be a good fghter, but I seriously doubt it.
If/When Joshua Loses, it'll Be to a Guy We've Actually HEARD of for Loooooooonger than 1 Fight Ago... Joshua in 4 or Less, Then Martin Assumes his Position as Quite Possibly THE Most Non-Descript "Champion" in Heavyweight History... REED:hammert:
Martin has a tendency to lean to his left and that sets up AJ to throw and land a right hand BOMB. Martin also squares up a bit too. I think he's deceivingly quick, but not as quick as Joshua. Will be interesting to see how Martin copes with the UK crowd. If he freezes, he's out in one.
This will be the first one we see Martin get hit with some legit power as well. I doubt Martin hits any harder than Whyte, so I don't think Joshua should have a problem handling his punch. But Martin is a southpaw and we don't know how Joshua will effectively cope with that. I'm psyched for this one.:shadow:
"The champion is Charles Martin, an unbeaten southpaw from the USA There is a stacked undercard, featuring George Groves, Lee Selby and Jamie McDonnell" :: :: :laugh11:
