I wonder if Martin is thinking "I wish I could have been around in the 80's when the Brits were proper shit".
Martin doesn't understand stones and pounds. Martin doesn't do Imperial. Martin struggles with conversion tables.
Joshua probably just blew a chance to win the HW Title in the 1st round with a KO, like Liston. Martin is just asking to get sparked here.
Martin worst HW Champ of are times. A sad indictment of those who said things would improve vastly once we got rid of the Klitschkos.
Today, everything that was once alleged of Germany is directly and immediately true of the United Kingdom. Shitty early stoppages, loaded judges, awful refereeing, biased commentary, shitty crowds, the works.
Martin would stick his upper body out, then push off with a punch that fell short. The guy doesn't even have the fundaments of boxing down.
Good performance by Joshua. Couldn't miss with the right hand. Martin was beyond terrible - one of the slowest, sloppiest HW 'champions' you'll ever see. Stoppage was fine for me; Martin literally didn't get up at the count of ten, therefore he was counted out. MTF
Nah. The referee was corrupt, no question about it, but Selby won the fight. Hunter basically threw the fight away in a huff. MTF
THIS... Instead of Complaining about an "Early Stoppage", Ask Martin WHY He Waited Until the Ref had ALREADY Counted "Nine", Before Attempting to Rise????....Looked to REED like Dude INTENTIONALLY Played it So he'd Get Counted Out, Yet Be Able to MEEKLY Voice his Displeasure, @ the Same Time.... REED:mj:
I knew Joshua would get Martin out of there early. My eyes didn't deceive me when I watched footage of him prior to the fight and thinking how easy Joshua would find it to land on him. Nothing wrong with the stoppage. When both guys took centre ring for the stare down, Martin looked away. Showed me fear and weakness. He was afraid in there.
Joshua looked nice and fluid and confident. He timed those right hands beautifully and with such speed and precision.
