As for your wife quitting the show I remember reading some where his it's funny that with all the horrible stuff that goes on in GOT's from Reek's torture, to beheading's, to castration, to burning children, to eye gouging a head til it explodes, to stabbing babies both in the womb and out and a host of other horrible things it's one little, barely even shown rape that gets people to quit the show .

As for Jon Snow I'm pretty sure he's coming back even though he did do the cardinal sin that leads to all Stark men dying.
