    Both in their welterweight primes...

I think Curry being more complete wins this. Probably by a late rounds stoppage. I don't think Curry's chin was iron, but his defense was very good, and even when Quartey lands clean, I don't think he has the power to do any serious damage.

Now Curry with that left hook on the other hand...

I swear, I feel like we do this matchup every 2 weeks. It's probably been done more than any other MM.

In any case, my prediction will never change.

Prime Curry was a better fighter than Ike, and would win by either UD or late stoppage.

Terp will be all over this thread soon, claiming Ike would destroy Curry.

  4. That pure bred Ashanti is too much man for that fragile faggot.

    Ike by mid rounds stoppage.

Ike already lost to one faggot.

Who's to say he couldn't lose to another?

  6. Most people had him beating De La Hoya. Besides Oscar's tougher than Curry. To this day whenever he sees a picture of McCallum left hand he screams like a girl and faints.

Look, we all know your bias against Curry is based on his sexual preference. Personally, I don't give a rats ass that he sucked dick outside the ring, as it doesn't change that he was a damn good fighter inside the ring.

Ike never reached the level of the 84-85 Curry, and against Curry's victims I think Ike has a much tougher go around, as I don't even think he beats Starling.

Ike's style was a bit too basic and one dimensional to beat Curry.

Of course, you'll bring up Honeyghan, but Honeyghan had an awkward and unpredictable style which threw Curry off. On top of Curry being flat that night.

Ike wasn't awkward nor unpredictable. He would have his moments, but Curry was the better technician and would outbox him.

    Starling would school Ike

  10. School is going a bit far. He may have beaten him but it would have be a close competitive fight

Then you have a guy like Nino LaRocca, who was a good fighter. Better than Oba Carr actually. Ike goes the distance with Carr while dropping about 3 rounds. Curry obliterates LaRocca in 6.

  12. Hearns obliterated Duran in two rounds, Duran beat Leonard.

Quartey UD. His jab makes it hard for Curry to work his way inside, it stops him from posing and plotting on the outside and most importantly helps to make it a rough physical fight where Curry gets hit back consistently. Curry has a sketchy track record in these kind of fights and Ike was just a physically and mentally tougher guy.
