Anyone who perceives a correlation between Steely Dan and JACKSON FUCKING BROWNE is most definitely hearing-impaired enough to enjoy "The Fall"

Free was an amazing fucking band. So basic, so raw, but fucking amazing. Nobody had a better tone in their solos than Paul Kossoff. And Paul Rodgers' voice is ridiculous. It's the complete opposite end of the spectrum from today's overproduced, autotuned 'singers'. Big thumbs down to the camera crew for not filming Andy Fraser during his bass lead part. I don't think any of them were older than 20 at this point.

Talking heads were pretty meh through the second half of their career when they were in the charts. Those who bought remain in light most frequently bought stooges/iggy pop, pixies, television, bowie, velvet underground, james brown, sigur ros:truce:

For the record i think steely dan are much better than any of the bands I've 'compared' them too. I'm pretty much just trolling. I don't really like them tho

On yougov, fans of steely dan have centrist politics on average and list as their hobbies 'looking after my pets', photography, museums, and.....DRIVING!!! yas. Favourite movies are third man and french connection! :bears: cool. Most common professions are in energy utilities and telecommunications. Talking heads fans are left wing and list their hobbies as going to live music, 'people watching' and writing. Their favourite movies on average are blade runner and all the presidents men, their most commonly listed professions are research and development & manufacturing. Weird. Apart from that there actually quite allot of overlap. Both use the co-op bank, list John peel among their fave celebs and like blackadder

love that site, I could waste untold pointless hours on there

Puts it on what, a pizza :dunno:

Biohazard and Anthrax collaborated with Onyx and Public Enemy respectively on some of the most criminally underrated work.

Kids today have Nicki fucking Minaj.

Kerry King of Slayer wrote and played guitar on FFYRTP .................

I'm seeing Lacuna Coil in San Francisco tonight. My favorite Italian band. :) I'm excited. I haven't seen them in 10 years. I've had a crush on Cristina forever. She's probably my favorite female singer.

Painted Wives is playing before them. This guy reminds me a little of Layne Staley. This should be a great show.

Kids today still have Slayer and Anthrax, plus they have more new talented metal bands than you can possibly listen to. This is a new golden age in metal.

Cristina Scabbia is so fucking hot. A beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.

Phone videos don't really capture what it's like being there.

The sound quality sucks, so you can't hear how heavy the music is. Cristina's voice cuts through all that. She sounds beautiful and powerful even on a phone video.

The way teenage girls feel about Justin Bieber, that's how I feel about Cristina Scabbia. She's the only musician in my lifetime that I've fallen in love with musically and sexually at the same time. She's 43 and still fucking hot. My favorite female singer of all time.

Soul into Hades was always my favorite Lacuna Coil song, but this is brutal. Especially around the 3:30 mark.

I haven't heard this one in a while. :) They didn't play it on Saturday. They did play a good mix of older songs along with a few from the new album.

Shat - Flat as a Board. Lol. I heard this on the radio today for the first time in years. I wanted to send it to my ex gf but I didn't. It would have been funny.

Oh my god, someone stole your breasts.
