I don't see the argument for Leonard over Westbrook. I really don't. Leonard's a better defender, that much can't be questioned. But it's not like WB is weak on D. When he's locked in, he's one of the better PG defenders.

The gap in offense is huge. Westbrook is by far the better scorer and playmaker. Leonard is a shit play maker, a mediocre ball handler, and a GOOD scorer but not a great one.

Westbrook playing on the level he's been playing would be the best PG in the league in MOST cases.... if only Steph weren't in God mode.

Whereas as far as SF's go.... there's Lebron, there's KD.... then a pretty sizable gap with Leonard followed by Paul George.

You wanna know how Leonard is overrated? Go on some NBA forums... there's advanced stat geeks on there saying that Leonard is better than a prime Kobe.

I don't care how much you HATE Bryant, that has to be one of the most comical statements ever.

    I repeat, Leonard is overrated.

Never has a player proven me MORE wrong than Westy.

Couple of years into his career, I SWORE that he was nothing more than another Steve Francis. At the time, he was often compared to Rose and back then NO ONE thought Westbrook was better than Rose.

Now, we can only speculate how good Rose would have become if not for his injury - but I somehow doubt he would have been as good as Westbrook has become at this point.

If OKC is gonna win, it would have to be in 6.

It's SOOOOOOO hard envisioning the Dubs losing a deciding game in Oakland.

westbrook hardly played great in that series. he is a great competitor and stepped it up a bit defensively as the series wore on, but the dude shot below 35% and took more shots than durant.

Leonard actually NEEDS Westbrook's mentality. Russ can be too aggressive, but Leonard can be too passive. He's not a killer at heart.

His best attribute will ALWAYS be that he's a lock-down perimeter defender.

Westbrook is playing pg next to the best scorer in the league and he takes more shots

His mentality is messed up. After game 3 he was hoisting less but still didn't have a great series by any means

If Westbrook takes more shots than Durant against GS, the series will be over for OKC in 5. Russ is his absolute best when he playes controlled and balanced. If he is in triple double mode averaging 22 - 25 ppg with Durant taking and making the most shots, the series could go 7.

Well, good thing the Warriors got back Steph from injury.

Without Steph, they were still gonna beat Portland, but they DAMN SURE wouldn't be capable of beating OKC without Steph.

True. To be fair to Westbrook though, I don't see him as a selfish player watching him play.

When Durant's not in the zone, he tends to play more passive and seems to prefer Westbrook to take the most chances and be more ball dominant of the two. If Durant were out there calling for the ball on every play, I'm pretty sure Westbrook would get it to him as much as possible.

It should be a great series either way. 2 completely different style teams, but both pretty fun to watch.

I'm pretty sure Steph Curry is the best scorer in the league.

    Durant's #2

Yeah, I dunno where that came from either.

Durant hasn't been the best scorer in the league since 2014.

2015 he was hurt all year, and this year Steph's been head and shoulders the better scorer.

As good as Durant was in his MVP season, and he was very good, 2016 Curry basically makes 2014 Durant look like a bum.

Depends on how you look at it. This season is the first and only season Steph ever outscored KD. KD's career scoring average is 5 ppg more than Steph so slowdown a bit. Also not sure how Steph'a season made KDs 32 ppg season of 2014 look like a bum, but then again brother X says Curry is better than Magic Johnson ever was so at least dude is consistent. Carry on bro LOL.

I think you're being overly nostalgic.

Is Curry as great as Magic was, YET? No.

Was Magic ever as good as Curry was in this regular season? No, he wasn't.

You're only getting outraged because it's basketball blasphemy to go up against Mister AIDS.

If you look at it objectively, Curry had a better REGULAR season this year than Magic's ever had.

Of course, what REALLY matters now are these next two rounds...

In terms of comparing 2016 Curry to 2014 Durant, what the Hell does Durant averaging 2 more points a game mean? Durant's PURELY a scorer. Steph's actually a good facilitator/playmaker on top of being a shooter/scorer, whilst still managing to score 30 PPG on better efficiency than KD.

Then there's just the eye test. Curry was just a more dominant scorer this year than Durant was in 2014, and is capable of scoring in more ways.

YOU disrespected Curry by acting like he's just a shooter. This isn't Reggie Miller we're talking about here. If I'm not mistaken, Curry actually lead all guards in points in the paint - that kills the notion of him just being a shooter.

Do you even bother to look at statistics before making these grandeous claims? The fact that you disrespect Magic by referring to him as "Mister AIDS" prove discussing this with you is a waste of time. Magic's career averages are better than damn near every 2016 season statistic of Curry except Points. You can continue your hate parade, phonetap is done here.

Try as you may you will never be able to justify your comment that Steph's season made Durants 2014 season look like a bum. Seriously bro, you don't have to tear everyone else down to build Steph up. You're smarter than that...

Are you kidding? I thought Leonard was the best all around player in the series. He doesn't need Russ's mentality and he isn't passive. He was getting more steals, making dunks on people, taking the ball out of opposing players hands and just seemed to want it more than everyone else on the Spurs. You don't have to beat on your chest and scream to show aggression and desire. Leonard is a guy who shows it with his game.

Durant was terrible the majority of that game.

Westbrook was amazing. Seeing him pass up early shot clock 3's was beautiful.

If you told phonetap Russ and KD would shoot 17 for 51 in game one he would have assumed a huge GS blowout. Game 2 is already a MUST win for GS...

We're About to See What Golden State's REALLY Made Of, For Sure...

It's Doubtful Westbrook Plays as Poorly as he Did in the 1st Half, the Remainder of this Series...And No Way Does Durant Shoot THAT Bad, the Remainder of this Series...

w/the Season They've Had, it's Championship or BUST for Golden State...Not Even Advancing to the Finals Would Be 1 of the BIGGER Choke Jobs EVER & the Vultures are ALREADY Circling Overhead, Ready to Write Them Off...
