Bowe - Holy (I lived through it, unlike the older ones)

Pac - Morales (one of my favorites twice KOed the retard)

Patterson - Johansson (they all are fun fights to rewatch)

Ali - Frazier (The Thrilla is among the best fights ever, I never rewatch the first and the second was poor)

Fifth place is reserved for the one that I have forgotten, there must be some

Israel Vasquez vs Rafael Marquez was clearly the greatest trilogy of our times, prior to the sham of a 4th fight

Leonard - Duran had potential but in the second fight it turned out they were on different levels which the third fight confirmed

nah Duran only lost the second because of the clown ring, stomach cramps and a whole heap of countless other reasons. Leonard's decision to box had nothing to do with it.

The best is debatable. What's not debatable is the WORST all time trilogy is Pac-Bradley.

Nah. The first two fights were
Pretty good. Last one was utter garbage, but doesnt means thet the whole triology was garbage

Personally i dont think anything could top wright-mckart. Three fights that went exactly the same way, with wrigh slightly edging pretty much every round. Zero drama

Far from the worst, but Jones tarver was a pretty shitty triology. First fight was decent, but second lasted ten seconds, and third was a track meet.

If those qualify as "pretty good", I'm utterly horrified by the idea of what you would consider a "bad" fight:lol:

I agree with JOM here. When the first two fights happened, nobody called them bad fights. There was plenty of inside fighting and clinches (such as in Tyson-Holy) but also some solid action.

The third fight is what everybody remembers and it was the prototype of a Ruiz fight (the same as Ruiz vs Kirk, Rahman, Oquendo, Golota etc)

The third fight let down the trilogy else it would have been fairly good.

I was referring to Jones Tarver. I have never rewatched any of the Ruiz Holyfield fights

Well stop wasting time and get on that. Then ff you still find yourself wanting more treat yourself to some Ruiz-Oquendo.

i used to have this theory that holy carried ruiz because in ruiz he had one guy he knew he could be competitive against and plus he was hispanic which meant a built in audience. the theory was, if he beat ruiz as easily as he could have, he would have had to move on to a better opponent who by that point in holy's long career, could've easily taken him. so instead, holy decided he would milk three fights out of ruiz and remain center stage as a result (and with hispanic viewers). that is how bad ruiz is. i refused to believe my own eyes that he could have been competitive with holyfield. but if you are bored enough to ever watch again - pay attention to holy's punches. seems like he might be holding back his power. i could be wrong though obviously.
