After witnessing Parker against Takam, I cannot favour Parker over Joshua. His offense is pretty good, but his defense is horrible. Yes, he has fast hands but he leaves himself exposed after getting his shots off. As Slice mentioned in the other thread, his head movement is non-existent and that spells trouble against a guy as fast and accurate as Joshua. Parker definitely has stamina issues, too, which is a real concern because it wasn't as if Takam truly brought it. Joshua clearly hits harder and his defense is sounder than Parker's. I'd be confident Joshua could handle what Parker threw at him, but Parker would be in serious trouble if Joshua landed bombs on his chin.
Parkers only Chance is if Joshua's chin or stamina isn't all that. Parker has answered more questions about those aspects today than Joshua in his career yet, though. As of right now you would have to favor Joshua in a pretty short affair, though.
Joshua was hurt against White though. A temple shot that could have seen Joshua fold, but he didn't. Joshua also had to dig deep in order to win. Whyte was a tougher test for Joshua than Takam was for Parker, IMO.
It was on the chin not the temple, he walked right into it too. It was a temple shot which set the wheels in motion for Whyte's demise though.
I always thought Joshua would beat Parker and after seeing this fight, I feel even more certain he would knock him out early to mid rounds.
Yeah, a pretty solid, tough dude. Took some bombs and didn't quit. Parker is young and still learning, but he has some serious holes. Poor stamina, somewhat overrated power, leaky defence. On the upside, showed good heart and chin and as usual, great jab.
Most of these South Sea Island boys have the same problems with their conditioning. Tua, Jimmy Thunder, now Parker. Strong, powerful, dangerous, but they ain't winning any marathons anytime soon.
Wolfgramm too. It does seem that way innit? They're all pretty stout fellas, big bones and all that, higher body fat percentage. You don't see many ripped dudes from that area. Whether it's related to culture or genetics, dunno. Probably both.
Wolfgramm. :: He had the bad German fat. It's both. They appear to not have the stamina thing, being better suited to fast explosive bursts......culturally, like Mexicans, they eat a lot of starches and top it off with meat dishes they aren't used to. They are a seafood people. See food and eat it :: In fairness, Milk and cheese and bread and red meat is anathema to them. Western lifestyle is worst for those least ready for it.
