The opposite but as with the other thread only those you've watched live

For me the following devastated me:

    Ali vs Holmes
    Jones vs Tarver
    Tyson vs Holyfield
    Tyson vs Lewis
    Tito vs Hopkins

    Only fights I watched live

Tszyu/Chavez... Depressing to see this totally shot legend go out like that
Joppy/Duran... I'm not even a Duran guy but this man is boxing royalty, a legend's legend... Disgusting display of how fucked this sport really is sometimes, allowing this to happen... It was a travesty that the matchup even took place
Pacquiao/Barrera... I always liked Barrera and I hated to see him get shredded that way, even if I was simultaneously amazed by Pacquaio's dominance
Bojorquez/Whitaker... Not a "knockout" in the traditional sense, but watching the best boxer of my lifetime, a pot-bellied caricature of himself, having difficulty blocking right hands from a scrub he would've embarrassed in his younger days before having to give up with a busted collar bone on an ESPN card was depressing shit

I don't see any tears being shed for De La Hoya against Pacquiao. Lol

That should have been sad, but it just wasn't

It wasn't sad because DE LA HOYA thought he was being slick by fighting a much smaller fighter...watching ant size Pacquiao make mashed potato out of De La Hoya bisexual face was GRREEEAATTT.

Steve Robinson at the hands of Naseem Hamed. I was none too pleased. Robinson was a humble hard working decent fighter and Hamed just humiliated him before completely fucking him up.

    Barrera deserves a Nobel prize.....

Hopkins-Trinidad- The same thing REED described when Roy was KO'd... Just a real sick feeling. It was weird. It was like the "bad guy" won and it just didn't feel right. A part of my Boricua heart died that night, which ironically was also on my BIRTHDAY... And there simply has not been another Puerto Rican fighter who captured the heart of the island the way Trinidad did. He made you proud of who you were and where you were from. If there was anything that united ALL Puerto Ricans regardless of religion, political beliefs, skin color, social class, it was watching Trinidad fight for us.

Margarito-Cotto I was never quite fond of Cotto the way I was of Trinidad. But I still mostly rooted for him out of loyalty, I guess. But when he was absolutely left beaten and battered to a bloody pulp the way he was, it was not fun to see. The way Margarito basically broke his will and left him broken was sad. This was all BEFORE the hand wraps controversy came out.

Camacho-Leonard Never cared much for Camacho's antics, but I do recognize he was an incredible talent. That said, seeing Leonard get beat up the way he did, didn't feel good, even if he came just before my time. That was similar to Joppy-Duran. A case of a once great fighter losing to someone that in his prime he wouldn't have had any business losing too. Seeing Leonard's face after that was tough.

Agreed. Even though I liked Oscar in his early years and I think some people tend to underrated him now that beating was fully deserved.

    LOL, true

In retrospect, I should have been more moved by a shot old man getting tortured like that but Hoya was such a prick that I didn't really care

I gotta admit I did feel just a bit sorry for Oscar in the post fight interview of the Pac fight.

It was so strange too because I THOROUGHLY enjoyed watching the tattooing that Manny was giving him that night. And I even wanted the fight to go another round to see Oscar get PUNISHED...

But watching him answer Larry Merchant's questions, I'll admit was a bit sad to see him that way.

I'm not sure if it's the same post/poster but I think it was "Piano Man" (also posted using other handles) with some embedded .midi file. It was a classic.

Sanchez vs Gomez: Wilfredo Gomez was my idol and the idol of all Puerto Ricans. We loved him like a member of our family. We thought no one could beat him, much less that skinny Mexican whom, a year before, nobody knew anything about him. Sanchez destruction of Gomez felt like a rude awakening from a wonderful dream. Our hearts were broken. The whole island was in mourning stage. Radio stations barely played any music the next day. All people talked on the radio, tv, newspapers, on the streets and at home was about 'the defeat'. No other fight has affected me more profoundly than this one. Not even Tito vs Hopkins (I was praying for a miracle, but always stated that Hops was too big and too strong for Tito).

Marquez vs Pacquiao IV: Manny was winning. He seemed to be on the verge to finally stop the Mexican, when that fucking punch knocked Pacman cold. Man, I was pissed. Still am. :pissed:

Pryor vs Arguello I: I still cannot believe what happened there. The sight of such a nice guy like Alexis unconscious on the canvas was really heartbreaking. Shit, I never rewatched that again.
