CURRENT Lebron has no case over Curry. Only extreme Bron fan boys still consider him the best player in the league.

Stephen Curry is the best basketball player in the world right now.

It's been a couple years at least that Lebron isn't the best anymore.

Still top 3 but not the undisputed king anymore.

From what I've seen so far ( again I'm no expert) only guy that can shoot on curry's level is Klay Thompson

Not really. Steph won MVP last year and he was nowhere near the leading scorer in the league. Only reason he led the league this year is because he's so damn efficient with his shooting. Only guys anywhere near him in efficiency with a legitimate scoring burden are Durant and Klay.

He can facilitate also. Only reason he doesn't also lead the league in assists is because he's too valuable as a shooter.

He also doesn't rely on getting to the line to get his points either.

That's not to shit on Lebron. Steph is the obvious MVP THIS Year, though you could have made a very valid argument for Lebron last year.

Whether or not Kyrie holds his own in the matchup is irrelevant, Curry is still MIIILLLEEEESSSS better as a player.

I don't just mean as a scorer/shooter. Steph's a much better playmaker and defender as well.

That Cavs team is elite for one reason and one reason alone..... Lebron James.

Irving and Love are losers. Lebron's made them into winners.

I'd take Lillard as the "the man" on my team ANYDAY over Irving. Kyrie wouldn't have carried the Blazers into the playoffs the way Lillard did.

Not on his level league wise, but styles make fights. A healthy Kyrie against a banged up Curry could be a very interesting battle.

Plus Kyrie may be playing with a chip on his shoulder, all the shit he's gotten about NIKE paying him instead of Curry, and then Curry giving the fuck you to Nike and going with UnderArmour instead and blowing that brand up.

If ANYONE'S playing with a chip on his shoulder in this series, it's Curry.

Lebron questioned his MVP in the media. Curry will be looking to make a statement to his no hairline having ass.

    Warriors in 6.

I hope the Warriors win, but I think Curry is getting worn down, and the Cavs will blanket him pretty effectively. Klay will have to come up huge again. I hope he proves me wrong though.

As a team, the Warriors are just more trustworthy than the Cavs. They deal with adversity as WELL as any team in history. The Cavs on the other hand are front runners.

When the going gets TOUGH in the series, and it WILL get tough, the Warriors will mentally respond better than the Cavs.

so far this post season irving (who is 5 years younger than curry) is averaging 24.3 points on 48% FG with 5 assists and 2 turnovers per game.

curry is averaging 26.7 points on 45.8% FG with 6 assists and 4 turnovers per game.

Irving has only had one poor game in the post season. i expect him to play a consistent series and help lead the cavaliers to victory. if he had played last year i think they win

What do those stats really mean when Curry is a first option and Irving is a second option?

Irving is a really good Robin, I admit he is. But in a Batman role a team is NEVER getting deep with Irving.

Irving's one of the best 1-on-1 players in the league, so obviously he's gonna get his regardless of which Splash Bro guards.

Still ain't on Curry's level though, and never will be.

Curry's officially a generational type talent.

Kyrie's ARGUABLY not a top 3 PG in the EAST!

I see him cancelling out currys production in this coming series and leading the cavaliers to the title, and earning a finals MVP. i also see expect him to take on the challenge of guarding curry the majority of the time both are on the court. where as thompson will guard irving.

Dubs in 6. You'll see, Cavs are front runners. They've been offered virtually NO resistance in that pathetic ass Eastern Conference.

Dubs know how to overcome adversity.

From what I've seen, Curry is not the greatest 1 on 1 defender (mainly because of his size and lack of athleticism rather then effort), but he's a sneaky good help defender who's good at stripping big guys entering the lane.

He also pulls down more rebounds then he has any business doing.

I always make the correlation, Steph Curry in basketball reminds me of Wayne Gretzky in hockey. Looking at both guys you'd never think they were much. Never the biggest or fastest or strongest at anything. Their domination comes from finesse, smarts, accuracy and seeing everything in front of them 3 steps before everybody else does.

Lebron James is Mario Lemieux. Just a big freak athletic specimen, who just happens to also be smarter then most everybody else around them.

Curry isn't an athletic freak, but Jessssuss Christ, people act like he's fuckin Kirk Hinrich or something.

Curry has good quickness and above average hops. He's also got EXCELLENT body control, which is apart of athleticism.

    He's well above average athletically.

For what it's worth, Jordan was overall more athletic than Lebron.

Well, yeah. Just comparing guys playing right now.

Jordan also had a much meaner streak then Lebron, which served him well competitively.

Lebron just wants to be everybody's Instagram buddy. Then when Kevin Love didn't want anything to do with that shit last year, Lebron turns all passive aggressive, instead of just confronting him like a man.

I'm not so sure about this. Irving will probably give up more points than he'll score. He's not known as a defensive wizard. Will be interesting to see if he even guards Steph.

I think the series going 7 games works to Steph's favor. he seemed out of sync but got his rhythm back over the last game and a half. What's critical is if Thompson continues to hit like he has during the season. If he does the Warriors will be hard to beat.

With that said, I've got the Cavs in 6.

Their playoff run is similar to the French chick Marion Bartoli who won Wimbledon a few years back. The top seeds in her bracket were beaten...never played a seed higher than her until the final (and Bartoli was ranked 15th). Meanwhile Lisicki beat Serena and Radwanska on her way to the final and had nada left for the final.

The one thing this playoff season has clearly demonstrated is how shitty the Eastern Conference is. The Cavs had two byes basically.

The NBA needs to go to seeding based on overall record. If I'm Lebron, I never go West. He's got the path of least resistance.

I know it's the regular season, but you can't just totally disregard the fact that GS fuckin DESTROYED the Cavs in both meetings this season.

It's not like Clev is just gonna flip a switch and automatically dominated the Dubs.

I think the Warriors just have the Cavs number.

The Thunder choking robbed Lebron of a ring, because the Cavs woulda beaten the Thunder. They woulda had home court, and Lebron has KD's number.
