Breland didn't fight a lot of fights at 154 lbs but he had the frame for it.

    Who wins this one?

Breland was a lot better than David Reid... He's not the sturdiest fellow, but Reid was himself about as sturdy as a three legged table... I don't see Reid being able to take advantage of it and outmuscle him... Breland either hurts him a bunch on his way to a decision or makes his other eye droop with that vicious jab of his and stops him

Reid had the athleticism and skills to stay in the fight and his right hand is a serious threat to a fragile chinny welter. I'd pick Reid to stop him dramatically in an awkward boring fight while slightly down on the cards around the 9th.

what right hand? The one that won him a gold medal and gave him a mere 50% KO rate against awful opponents in the lead up to being mangled by Trinidad?

That right hand was a myth

Reid had talent, but was extremely flawed.

His chin and stamina were among them.

It was a sharp, accurate, solid punch and its not hard to see it knocking out a chinny lanky guy like Breland. If Reid was good enough to control and outbox Breland he probably wouldn't knock him out but hes not and Breland is a perfect candidate for the jackpot.

Who did it knock out exactly? The puncher in this matchup is Breland, not Reid

  9. Breland had a weak chin. Someone is getting knocked out and I have to lean on the bigger man to win this

Yeah, Reid had that LaMotta-like chin

  11. Reid went the distance with Trinidad. No way Breland would last 5 rounds with Tito especially at 154lbs.

Reid stumbled around like a drunk against Trinidad, he got killed ... That he heard the final bell was a small miracle

  13. Yes, no doubt, but Breland wouldnt come close to achieving that miracle.

    Irrelevant, though :scratcher:

Trinidad could have finished Reid in that 12th round. He was noticeably holding back.
