I have to agree with this. I see where Xplosive is coming from, but personally I thought the concept of training Raptors was genius.

I know that, but to the Hollywood honchos reviving an old franchise, they labeled it as a reboot in hopes of making enough dough for yearly sequels and create 'expanded universe' (don't ask me!). :scared:

Ah, it's entertaining enough if you turn your brain off. I kind of enjoyed the realization of a full sized family Theme Park for these monstrosity's, but I doubt I'll remember anything about it beyond next week, outside of the babysitter getting torture porned by nearly every ancient carnivorous reptile species on the planet in the span of about 30 seconds.

Chris Pratt is likable as usual. Movie was fun to look at, but completely lacking in any tension whatsoever. Weird tonal shifts between attempted comedy and what should have been outright horror, but generally lacked any sense of feeling or consequences.

    6.5/10

I won't lie, I enjoyed all of the Jurassic films.

The most ridiculous moment from any of the films though is when cute redhead chick outruns a T Rex in her high heels.

I mean the films are full of things that are questionable from a reality standpoint but how on earth does one even begin to justify that? Lol

I don't remember a Pterodactyl viciously devouring anyone in a river in JP3. I do remember a couple Pterodactyl's fighting over the one guy while he was in the river but they never ate him.

Why would you lie or feel the need to explain yourself? It's fucking dinosaurs dude. Anyone who doesn't find that entertaining is the one who should feel ashamed.

I'll give you that Panchy. Still haven't been able to sit through an entire one of them. Usually I've got a splitting headache and a pronounced lack of patience with anybody around me by the 20 minute mark.

You always can tell how awful a modern popcorn movie is gonna be within 2 minutes just by the frequency of cuts. New frame, new frame, new frame, new frame, new frame. seizure inducing shit for the ADD generation

Agreed. This generation of movie goers doesn't give a shit about quality. They just want shiny objects and CGI.

The first Jurassic Park came out in 93, at a time when movie-makers still cared about making GOOD MOVIES, not just sellable action flicks.

I was not a fan of the original Jurassic Park like most here seem to be, but i'll admit at least it appeared be a project they wanted to turn into a good movie. Whether it's a big or small film it still has to be funded. In that way it's understandable investors want to see a return on their money.

It's good people are starting to see how transparent this process is becoming when it comes to all these sequels and reboots. At the same time if they keep making money recycling the shit nothing is going to change.

Yeah, but wouldn't you think it'd be cheaper to write a good story then it is to halfass it and CGI the film to death? I mean these film makers seem to only care about fooling the fan base into the theaters with high octane movie trailers rather than creating a quality film that would bring in fans from the trailer as well as from positive word of mouth.

It's all of that that has me convinced that it isn't that most filmmakers don't care about making good films anymore, they just no longer know how.

Ungrateful Canadian. The first Canadian NBA franchise's name was inspired by the first Jurassic Park, and he's ungrateful.

Stop complaining about 'Jurassic World': it could have been worst as we are now witnessing early concept art where we would have been treated with Human-hybrid-dinos!

There was going to be even a terminator-like cyborg raptor hybrid with a laser arm!!!

Yeah and the way Oakland's Basketball team choked away their last two games suggests that their name was inspired by these Warriors...

No joke. This was the earlier concept that was discarded and went for the safe repeated formula. But we still got those trained raptors with the electronic devices...

Shit film. Over cut, cheesy character development, naff casting, ridiculous plot devices, inferior special effects to the first one a quarter century earlier. Just a total jobby.
