Bron should have won finals mvp last year, despite the loss

That SOUNDS Good, but the Reality Is, Steph Lovers Frequently Praise Him @ the EXPENSE of LeBron James...So Quite Naturally, When they Share the Same Court and Bron REPEATEDLY Performs @ a HIGHER Level, There's Going to Be Some BACKLASH Directed @ Steph...

    No!

Lebron had to shoulder too much of a load, but he shot about 30% from the floor while taking about 35 shots per game.

You don't give MVP for that kind of efficiency to a guy whose team lost in 6 games.

That's something that may need to change. During the season the MVP is given to the best player regardless of team record. The MVP isn't automatically the best player on the best team so why should that be the case in the NBA finals? It's a legitimate question to ask.

Lebron is clearly more valuable to his team than curry is.

Regular season mvp is typically given to the best player on one of the best teams. When was the last time someone on a non-elite team got it?

Pay careful attention to phonetap's words my man because phonetap chooses them carefully. phonetap said, the NBA MVP is not typically given to the best player on the best team during the regular season. Your question therefore is irrelevant because everyone currently posting on this thread knows the answer to your question. Following so far? Good.

The question phonetap asks is why should the NBA Finals MVP follow a different voting standard than the regular season? The teams in the NBA finals are already exceptional teams with outstanding players so it's not like the award is going to a player on a poor performing team. phonetap thinks there can be a debate as to awarding the NBA Finals MVP award to the most outstanding player regardless whether that player won or loss in the finals. If you don't think so that's fine...its a good discussion.

As far as last years NBA Finals go, do you honestly believe GS loses the finals if AI didn't play that series? GS most likely wins anyway. HOWEVER, without Lebron the Cavs get swept clean out of the finals. phonetap's opinion...

    Nah..

Iguoadala was GIFTED the Award Because Stephen UNDERperformed, Thompson CHOKED and Bron was on the Losing Team...

Iguoadala is THE Least Deserving MVP in NBA Finals History. He's Larry Brown Winning the Super Bowl MVP Against the Steelers...Yes, Iguodala had a Pretty Good Series, but Labeling him a "Difference Maker" is QUITE a Stretch...

Iguoadala "Held" Bron to 36ppg, While Putting Up 16, 6 and 4 Himself...Sorry, but Those AREN'T Exactly Irreplaceable Numbers...

Point is it HAS Happened, it's NOT Unprecedented, and Bron DESERVED It...

Unless You're HONESTLY Telling REED Iguoadala was MORE "Valuable" to Golden State (Coming Off the Fucking BENCH, No Less), than Bron was to Cleveland...By Sheer DEFINITION of the Term, Bron Should've Gotten the Award...Hell, there SHOULDN'T have Even Been Any Other Nominees for It...

you really think the warriors would have won without him? if you think that is the case then why would you be against dealing him to get durant?

he "held" james to less than 40% shooting. and alot better than that when you break down what james did with other guys guarding him. he was the most deserving player on the winning team. get used to it, the league aint giving a finals MVP to a guy on a losing team ever again.

He was Right @ 40% (.397% To Be Exact), Actually...No Great Shakes, Obviously, but Considering Matthew Dellavadova was ARGUABLY the 2nd Best Teammate Bron Had in Last Year's Finals, it's JUSTIFIABLE for him to have Shot as Frequently as he Did, in REED's Opinion...

And the Lack of "Efficiency" DOESN'T Diminish just how AWESOME Bron Played in Last Years Finals...In Addition to 36ppg, Dude AVERAGED 13 Boards and Nearly 9 Assists PER Game!!!...It's NOT like he was Ballhogging, Chucking Up Shots w/No Regard...

The EYEBALL Test Will Always Be Superior to Analytics...& Few, if ANY Have Played to the Level LeBron James Did in the 2015 NBA Finals...

REED Doesn't Recall Giving a Fuck if Iguoadala Was to Get Caught up in a Durant Trade...REED's Issue was Klay Thompson...

THE "Most Valuable Player" in the 2015 NBA Finals was LeBron James... There WASN'T a Close 2nd To Him, Either...

i recall you saying the warriors would be worse off and durant wouldnt fit if they got rid of role players like iguodala. thompson was never a possibility of being gone if they get durant.

you said earlier they still win the title without iguodala. you sticking with that?

REED Said They'd Be Worse Off w/Durant Because Klay Thompson ALREADY Provides What Durant Would..The LAST Thing Golden State Needs is a 6'11 PERIMETER Player...Klay Thompson ALREADY Offers that AND Is an Actual 2-Way Player, w/a BETTER Jumper than Durant...

REED May or May Not have Mentioned Iguoadala in Conjunction w/OTHER Dub Role Players like Draymond, Harrison Barnes, Bogut, etc., but @ NO Point Did REED Single Out Iguoadala as Some Integral Piece to their Championship Formula...

Sorry, but he's NOT That Dude...

REED's Pretty Sure Brother 'Tap is the One who Said Golden State Would've STILL Won Last Year, Sans Iguoadala, and REED Can't Say he Disagrees...

phonetap believes GS wins anyway sans AI last year. fascinating that you harp on that but pretend to miss the second part of phonetap's analysis that GS sweeps the Cavs without Lebron. Without Lebron there is no need for AI so you are indirectly supporting phonetap's argument that Lebron was indeed the true MVP in the Finals. It's also indirectly supports phonetap's position that Lebron is the best player in the world.

Bron is not being offensively aggressive this game and focusing on passing. I think he's trying to force his team to step up and win this game for the most part without him. This is good idea because it will build up his teammates confidence so that they will be ready to execute in golden state the same way they have at home.

Bron knows he can't beat the Warriors if his teammates aren't at their absolute peak in GS, and building up and preparing his teammates like this is probably the smartest and most effective way he can do that.

Refs letting them play rugby out there and I love it. This is how the regular season should be reffed as well.

It's not that I love the overphysicality that's going on out there because I think it detracts from the beauty and grace of the game it's just I prefer this over a bunch of free throws brought on from too many unnecessary foul calls.

Lebron went MIA in the 4th quarter... in typical Queen James fashion.

It's over. Dubs officially end matters on Monday night.
