    At 147 and 154.

Any chance Forrest can use his height and reach to great success the same way Hearns did?

Not much. If it's a half assed post-New Orleans duran there's every chance Forrest gets a decision but 79/80 duran wrecks forrest's life for at least a week.

Forrest wasn't tough or mean enough to handle Duran.

Duran was too agile for Forrest. He'd land the looping overhand right constantly

Forrest is better than Kirkland Laing.

Why can't a competent boxer with advantages in teach and height jab up and beat Duran. Yeah, y'all go on about Montreal Duran like he's some sort of superhero. Well Mosley 1 Forreat was no chump

Forrest did lose to Mayorga, though.

And at 154, he was given a gift over Ike Quartey.

Yeah, the mayorga loss hurts him in this matchup. No doubt. Duran was smaller than mayorga though and with less reach, Much better of course, but it's a different proposition.

Well you are overrating him a lot if you think he was significantly better. Guy was very basic and was not a special fighter by any stretch of the imagination

You would be. Palamino is 80s. Reverse the eras these guys competed in and you'd pick Forrest

Duran's victory over Leonard is impressive but y'all c any use that to say he'd beat every other welterweight. Boxing doesn't work like that, it's not linear.

Forrest is tall, rangy and a good boxer. He's patient and intelligent and wouldn't just slug it out with Duran. Remember Duran was great at 135 but he was an inconsistent short little shit at the higher weights.

You don't know anything about boxing pre-90s.

No way in the Hell I'd pick Forrest over Palomino.

You can lol all you want, but Forrest two wins against Mosley are better than any of palomino wins. And technically speaking, forrest was better, and hes also probably faster and more athletic. Palomino had more intangibles though. GuY was a good fighter, but lets not pretend he was something special (Same apply to Forrest also). Its absurd to dismiss older fIghters like some fans do, but it is as ridiculous to put them on a pedestal.

The weirdest thing is you claim that Palomino got slaughtered by Benitez (i think it was a close fight), and he also wasnt very competitive with Duran, so why do you rate him so highly?

Again, only because Forrest is post 80s ( post 90s even).

As JOM noted Forrest's two wins over prime Mosley trumps any achievement of palominos.

He certainly hammers every guy over 140 that Floyd has ever fought
