Perhaps but my word what a great fight it would be. Holyfield gives far better resistance than that one armed bandit called Frazier .
If holyfield is somehow able to survive the esrly rounds, he wins this. But he would take a terrible shellacking in these early rounds
Holyfield didn't have an Ali chin, but he was very tough and had heart for days. I'm not so sure Foreman KOs him. He could have...but Holyfield surviving the early assault is also possible.
It's not even about his chin... Ali didn't allow Foreman to hit him in the face because he had the style and the reflexes to do it... Holyfield, like Frazier, would go at Foreman with everything he's got and get hammered, IMO ... Even Ali would've been KOd if Foreman smashed him in the face 50 times... Holyfield can't do what Ali did
I agree about the chins and said as much in my post. Holyfield , however was tougher than Frazier. Secondly Holyfield wasn't some face first slugger that would just get hit over and over in the face. He had some movement, a job and fast hands and would give foreman a couple things to think about. I think the best version of Evander to match up against a prime Foreman is the version that fought Tyson. He was bigger and stronger at that time than the version that fought an older Foreman. Still, the topic calls for the 205 version so I'll stick with that one for now
The Fight Lasts a Round or 2 Looooooonger than Foreman-Frazier I and Holyfield's SLIGHTLY More Competitive, but In the End, he Gets the Shit Beaten Out of Him... Foreman''s Brute Strength, Power, Aggression and Sense of Malice (Back Then) are All WRONG for Holyfield's LACK of Defense & Innate Desire to Seek Immediate Retribution After Getting Tagged... Holyfield's Sweat Would Fall "Pitifully" and if He Isn't Knocked Out COLD and the Ref Allows Him to Fight his Way Thru Duress, he Very Well Could "End Up in a Pine Box"... REED:hammert:
