Trinidad superior firepower and spedd should be the difference. I like him to hurt and drop palomino a few times, en route to a deserved decision.

I can't envision any scenario where Palomino beats Tito. Save for chin, Tito was better at everything else. Not only better handspeed, skill, and power, Tito was also more defensively sound than Carlos. A good deal taller and rangier too, which would be a factor.

I actually think that by the late rounds, Palomino is taking a pretty thorough ass whuppin.

I think this is a classic. A great fight.

I think Trinidad's more damaging blows get him a close nod on the cards. Both guys would hurt the other.

Palomino's being overrated if you pick him over Tito.

Tito wouldn't have gone through a grueling battle with Dave Green. I mean, Green wasn't a scrub, but Trinidad would have executed him.

Not only is Palomino not good enough, he doesn't have the style to beat Tito. Guy was a body punching, grinder type technician. That style isn't really conducive for winning against a fighter as offensively talented as Tito was. ESPECIALLY when you consider that Tito had great stamina.

Tito wouldnt have taken multiple rounds off wilfred benitez either - he'd have been completely bamboozled. Palomino is skilled enough to outbox Tito and he's tough enough to last. It'd be a hard fight but if it's even money mines on palomino by decision

Palomino had draws against bums and even in his prime lost to Andy Price before the Benitez and Duran fights. Trinidad would have murdered him within 8 rounds.

Palomino was tough and could box but i just have a hard time picking somebody who gets plenty to beat Tito.

In truth, how many rounds did Palomino really take from Benitez? I know the fight was a split decision but I didn't think it was that close.

Be that as it may, I think it's about styles. Palomino was very good, but I don't think he had the intelligent movement and counter punching of Hopkins, nor the fast hand and fast feet of Oscar to really exploit Tito. I could be wrong, but I see this fight being fought mostly at mid range and inside. I think the guy with superior hand speed and power would have the edge in that one.

But I do agree that this one is close. No KO for anyone. But both get hurt at some point.
