No other noteworthy fights to discuss until next weekend, so we might as well discuss this one now. How's it play out? I changed my mind. Originally I was picking Thurman by UD, but now I'm thinking Thurman stops him. Porter just makes SOOOOOO many mistakes and is so often wide open. I'm thinking Thurman eventually clips him with something big he doesn't see. Thurman TKO 10.
Thurman via UD. I think he'll get Porter in trouble sometime late in the fight but he'll survive. Porter just has nothing to threaten him with IMO.
I think it will be an ugly fights with Porter having his shair of succes. Thurman would probably wins a dec by virtue of his cleaner and harder punches. His uppercuts are good ng to be the key for him
Thurman UD in a shit fight. Thurman isn't a great boxer and his power is overrated. Porter is even worse though.
I myself am questioning Thurman's power, now. I was disappointed that he allowed the Ghost to go 12 rounds with him.
Neither Man is Special, but Thurman is CLOSER in Just About Every Regard than Porter...Both Prefer to Fight @ Close Range, So REED's Expecting a Surprisingly ENTERTAINING Scrap w/Thurman Scoring a Stoppage Around the 8th-10th, or Winning a CLEAR UD... REED:hammert:
I hope Thurman destroys Porter in style. It'll be make look all the more impressive when Spence KO's Thurman.
I have nothing against Porter personally. But his fake thug daddy talks ENTIRELY too much shit and I can't wait to hear what he'll say after his son gets his ass kicked Sat. I hope we'll see Thurman-Spence in early 2017, but I won't hold my breath. I think what we'll likely get is Thurman-Garcia.
i know for all intents and purposes it may not matter, but in truth what is "awful" to watch is the response of most fighters to porter, as opposed to porter himself. porter is just super aggressive.
True but he just bum rushes people, swings wildly and smothers his own work. He fights like he's drunk
LMAO! It's gotta be an Ohio thing for Double. Porter's style is awful. Sometimes I think he tries to model parts of his style after Aaron Pryor, but the problem is.... Pryor had talent. And Porter, welll.... doesn't. So he has to revert to Hatton-like grappling, only he isn't as talented as Hatton either.
I suspect Porter will ugly it up enough to make it competitive. Thurman will get the close nod but I don't see him getting the KO off the strength of that he's simply not the puncher we may have thought he was.
Lmao! That Ohio support runs deep. You're the only person on Earth who thinks Porter arguably beat Brook. It was an ugly fight, and an ugly fight that Brook won clear as day.
you ever notice the trend in porter fights? they're all shitty grapple fests and there is 1 common denominator.
that is absolute bullshit. there are plenty who thought it was close. you are probably in the minority to call it clear.
