Quartey's late round struggles wouldn't apply here because Thurman also has stamina problems. Quartey late TKO or unanimous decision

I agree Dogg! Thurmans movement and offense could be a problem but the way he just let Porter inside was disappointing. I thought he did a good job of punching between Porters shots but Ike was a sharper puncher than Porter.

 

Quartey via late rounds tko. Too strong, too good with the jab, and he'd back Thurman up all night.

 

Re-thinking about it and Ike probably wins this rather easily. THurman will be mesmerized by the jab

 

plus, Quartey actually knew how to fight and Porter doesn't::

 

Quartey was a 90s fighter. Now, 90s guys knew how to fight better than 70s and 80s cavemen, but they still hadn't MASTERED this sport.

The sport wasn't mastered until 98, when a man with the middle name of Joy came around. He single handedly TAUGHT all future generations how to box, and now the sport is better than ever.
